A celebrity special of ITV’s The Chase is back on our screens today, with actress and Strictly legend Ellie Leach joining the team to win thousands of pounds for charity. Hosted by Bradley Walsh, the episode sees Ellie, Karim Zeroual, Christopher Biggins and Des Clarke work to beat one chaser.
Ellie, 23, shot to fame playing troubled teen Faye Windass on Coronation Street, but left the ITV soap in 2023 following a 12-year stint on the cobbles. Ellie came back onto our screens later that year, going on to win BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
It is thought Ellie still lives in her hometown of Bury in Greater Manchester and a few years ago, her parents moved into a new pad which they renovated, The Mirror previously reported. The former Strictly Come Dancing winner regularly shares updates to her social media pages and has a following of nearly 500,000 people.
When she’s not working on others projects, Ellie regularly shares glimpses inside her lovely home. Ellie now has a lavish bedroom with her own en-suite bathroom.
And from her photos, she likes to keep things chic and minimal when it comes to home furnishings. Cream walls and cream carpets compliment a huge bed with a fancy neutral headboard with gold studding detail on it and matching plush bedding.
Her bedside table looks to have a white marble effect and she has a freestanding white and gold bedside lamp next to it. Elsewhere, Ellie keeps all her clothes in a huge four-door grey fitted wardrobe.
She also has a gold dressing table and large gold mirror for getting ready in. And Ellie regularly posts mirror selfies of her amazing outfits on her way to a night out.
Ellie also loves a designer accessory and has books from designer brands Gucci and Chanel dotted around her house which she has shown in previous social media posts. The Little Book of Chanel, which she bought from Selfridges, is in her sleek black and white bathroom, which has a huge walk-in shower.
A black wax Buddha head and a black ornament of a topless woman are next to it. The rest of the house also looks to be decorated in neutral colours.
The living room has a classy grey and white theme with grey leather sofas, matching carpets and a white fireplace with silver framed mirror above it. Outside in the garden, where Ellie often poses for pics, there is stylish grey decking and perfectly manicured grass.
In the corner, there is a grey rattan outdoor seating big enough for the whole family, including chaise longue style chairs. Ellie, who is the cousin of fellow Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent, was just 10 years old when she got her big break on the ITV soap.
Since then, viewers have watched as her character Faye had a baby when she was just 12 years old after getting pregnant by schoolmate Jackson. Ellie won Strictly in 2023 paired with professional dancer Vito Coppola.
After impressing the nation with their footwork and their friendship, they headed into the Strictly final. On the much-loved dance competition show, they were odds-on favourites before lifting the Glitterball Trophy.
Since winning Strictly, Ellie has appeared on reality show Drama Queens, which saw fellow soap stars open the door to their real lives. More recently on Instagram, Ellie shared a new look which surprised fans.
Many will have also spotted Ellie on today’s celebrity special of The Chase, alongside Karim Zeroual, Christopher Biggins and Des Clarke. It is available to watch on ITV X.
