Who is Jonathan Ross’ wife?

Jonathan’s wife, Jane Goldman, is hugely successful in her own right, having carved out a career as a screenwriter and producer. She worked on the X-Men films, as well as Kick-Ass and Stardust.

Jane’s other notable works include The Woman in Black, The Limehouse Golem, and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

In addition to this, Jane is also an author and started out as a journalist, working for publications such as The Times and Cosmopolitan.

She met Jonathan when she was 16 years old, and two years later, the couple headed to Las Vegas to tie the knot.

The couple’s youngest child, Honey Kinny, has followed in her parents’ famous footsteps and also carved out a career in the spotlight. She is a screenwriter like her mother and also a podcast host, having teamed up with her dad to present Reel Talk with Honey & Jonathan Ross, which sees the pair review TV and films.

Jonathan’s childhood

The chat show host grew up in London, like his wife, and has occasionally spoken about his childhood. His mother, Martha Ross, was an actress, and he has four brothers – one of which is journalist Paul Ross – and a sister.

As a child, Jonathan appeared in adverts for Kellogg’s and Persil. He obtained a degree in Modern European history at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES) in London before going to work at Channel 4, which proved to be the launchpad for his lengthy TV and media career.

Speaking on the podcast Table Manners, hosted by Jessie and Lennie Ware, Jonathan revealed that his family “were not well off” and recalled an incident where his mother had borrowed food from others, leaving him alone at home.

“I cut my finger off when I was about one and a half because she’d (his mum) gone out to borrow food. We had no food in the house, and she’d left me not, not a wise decision, to be looked after by my older brother, who, himself, was only three and a half, I believe,” the TV star said.

He also spoke of one of his favourite, yet unique, food combinations, adding: “We’d have, you know, tomato soup with spam sandwiches, which is a delicious treat. If you’ve never tried it. You dip a spam sandwich into a tomato soup and then, oh, it’s delicious!”
