Holly Willoughby shares joy as she confirms return to ITV show: ‘Lovely to be back’

Holly Willoughby attends the "Celebrity Bear Hunt" Special Screening

Holly Willoughby will be returning to TV screens as a special guest for an ITV show. The presenter used to host You Bet! alongside Stephen Mulhern, before quitting due to scheduling conflicts.

The former This Morning star is now set for a comeback to You Bet! as it returns to screens later this year. While she won’t be presenting, fans and friends were still thrilled to hear the news last week.

Sharing the news with her 8.2m followers on Instagram, Holly said: “You Bet! Just lovely to be back with @stephenmulhern and the whole team this week.” One fan commented “Classy. You must have had great fun on that panel and with Stephen of course.”

Another wanted Holly’s time on the show to be permanent, writing: “@Itvyoubet should have you @hollywilloughby as a regular panellist maybe a team captain role perhaps.”

One confused fan wrote “Thought you quit? So you could do the Netflix thing confused but glad we get to see you” and another said “I look forward to seeing you.”

Stephen Mulhern will be hosting the new series solo and welcoming a new line-up of celebrity panellists onto the show. Also confirmed in the line-up for episodes of the show are This Morning’s Josie Gibson and Alison Hammond.

Taskmaster stars Rob Beckett, Babatunde Aléshé, Judi Love, Nick Mohammed, Johnny Vegas and Josh Widdicombe will also be taking part in the new series. Other familiar faces taking part are Zoe Ball, Rylan Clark and Alesha Dixon.

ITV has confirmed You Bet! On Tour will run for a six-episode series and a Christmas special. Stephen said: “I’m absolutely thrilled that You Bet! is back – and this time we’re hitting the road!

“Each week I’ll be joined by a top celeb panel, as our challengers take on some brilliantly bonkers and amazing challenges. With the title of You Bet Champion on the line, it’s going to be unbelievable from the start.”

The mum-of-three has enjoyed a busy start to the year as she fronted Dancing On Ice for ITV and Celebrity Bear Hunt for Netflix. The Netflix venture followed Holly’s departure from ITV This Morning after 14 years. Holly said her decision to leave was made with “herself and her family” in mind.

Away from screens, Holly has been married to TV producer Dan Baldwin since 2007. Holly and Dan met on the kids’ TV show Ministry Of Mayhem in 2004, which Holly co-hosted with Stephen Mulhern, and were together for three years before they tied the knot.

Holly and Dan are parents to son Harry, 15, daughter Belle, 12, and nine-year-old son Chester. The couple keep their children largely out of the public eye.

The presenter explained on This Morning in 2021: “I choose not to put my children’s faces on Instagram because I know once they’re out there, they’re for public consumption.”
