Helen Flanagan has shared a career update just days after teasing she is working on something exciting. The former Coronation Street star will be stepping into the shoes of the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs this winter.
On Instagram, Helen wrote: “Come watch me as the Evil Queen in Liverpool this Christmas @mandsbankarena.” The cast of the highly-anticipated pantomime were in Liverpool on Tuesday, September 2 ahead of their upcoming shows.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will run from December 12 to 28 at the Auditorium at M&S Bank Arena this Christmas. Helen will appear alongside comedy star Bippo as Muddles, Andy Brennan as Dame Dolly, X Factor star Sean Smith as Prince, Ellis Lloyd As Snow White and Rebecca Lake as Fairy.
After sharing a picture of herself in costume, the actress received plenty of supportive messages from friends and fans. Former Coronation Street co-star Brooke Vincent, known for playing the role of Sophie Webster on the Cobbles left six love heart-eyed emojis.
Christine McGuinness shared a praising hand and love heart emoji. Helen responded to this supportive comment as she wrote back to the model “love you” with a kiss.
Fans of Helen wrote “You look beautiful” and “Slay, Queen!” Others commented “Always love your style babe” and “Absolutely Gorgeous Helen.”
On Monday, August 26, Helen broke down in tears as she spoke about the difficulties of co-parenting. The mum of three broke down on Instagram as she explained that her anxiety was bad recently and she was feeling overwhelmed.
Helen shares three children with her ex-partner, Scott Sinclair. They have two daughters together, nine-year-old Matilda, six-year-old Delilah and son Charlie who is three years old. Helen separated from the footballer in 2022 after 13 years together and getting engaged.

In the tearful video, she admitted she thinks the time away from her children will allow her to be more “clear-headed” when they return. A more positive video, uploaded the following day showed Helen talking about the importance of her career and upcoming projects.
The actress told Instagram followers that she relies on social media to make connections with others, saying: “I feel like I have been sharing my life on social media for such a long time and I do actually put my life on, I don’t sugar-coat anything and I do keep it real.
She added: “I am on a really big shoot today for something really exciting, really exciting. That’s today which I am buzzing about. For me, especially with the kids when the kids are away, my work just saves me, my work is like my everything. I need my work, I need that focus.”
Helen, who played the role of Rosie Webster on the Cobbles from 2000 to 2012 and from 2017 to 2018, spoke to the ECHO ahead of her pantomime performances in December.
She said: “I’m excited. Yes, I’ve got to channel being my evil self. I think I could quite easily be a princess but I’m not a singer. So, I’m going to channel being evil. I’ve got a few months to rehearse. So I’m sure I can be an evil queen.”
The 35-year-old added: “I’m very much a Northerner and I just think it’s got such a good vibe to it. It’s got a fun vibe. I love Scousers. Everyone’s so friendly, it’s just warm – I love Liverpool.”
