Gogglebox favourites Jenny and Lee have entertained fans this morning after a video was uploaded to their official Instagram account of Jenny driving a car, with a ‘terrified’ Lee in the passenger seat. Jenny Newby and Lee Riley have been part of the Gogglebox family since joining in 2014.
The best friends are fan favourites and first met when drinking in a pub, where Jenny was the landlady. They regularly share updates from their lives off-screen on social media. This morning, September 11, a video was uploaded by the Channel 4 stars. The video was filmed by Lee, who was visibly worried as Jenny was behind the wheel.
He said: “This is the most terrifying thing I am in now”, to which Jenny responded “What do you mean? I am alright”, Lee wasn’t feeling any more comforted by the comment as he continued to discuss his worries.
In the video, Lee said: “She’s not, I tell you now” he interrupted his own sentence by shouting out that there was a car in front of them. He told Jenny “there’s a car, there’s a car.”
Jenny kept her cool as she insisted the car was “pulling out” and it wasn’t her fault. The back-and-forth continued as Lee told viewers “never again with Jenny”, before warning her to watch the kerbs.
Trying to keep her concentration, Jenny warned her Gogglebox partner that he was putting her off and she was on the verge of “planking” him and chucking him out of the car.
The clip ended with Lee laughing out loud, amused by the banter between the two. The best friends have returned to our screens as the new series of the Channel 4 show got underway last Friday, September 5.
The much-loved series first aired in the UK on March 7 2013. There have since been 26 series that have aired on Channel 4. The production team spend time scouting out the perfect candidates for the show, and being spotted remains the only way to be on Gogglebox, five new families are in the new series.

The regular Gogglebox stars will also be returning to our screens every Friday night. Those returning to the show include Jenny and Lee, The Siddiquis, The Malones, Giles and Mary, Ellie and Izzi and David and Shirley.
The new families and friends that have joined the Gogglebox cast are:

- Married couple Andrew (62) and Alfie (32) from The Cotswolds

- Sisters, Rosie (68) and Susie (70) from Edinburgh
