
Gogglebox star Sophie Sandiford issue a heartfelt tribute as she shared a family update. The armchair critic is renowned for her role on the popular Channel 4 programme.
The reality TV star regularly casts her eye on the week’s best TV alongside her brother Pete Sandiford. The two have been fan favourites on Gogglebox since they debuted on the show in 2017.
The brother and sister thrilled fans as they welcomed fans into their home once again for the last episode. Friday’s programme saw the brother and sister watch shows such as Adolescence and 99 To Beat.
Away from the screen, Sophie regularly shares updates from her life on Instagram. She has taken to social media to reveal it was a big occasion for a rarely seen member of the Gogglebox family.
Her mum, Julie, celebrated her 60th birthday over the weekend and Sophie shared snaps from the occasion. She said: “Celebrating our gorgeous mums 60th birthday this weekend has been so lovely.

Celebrity followers took to the comments to congratulate Sophie’s mum on reaching the milestone. Izzi Warner said: “Happy birthday Julie! Hope you have a fabulous day”
Others were in disbelief as they pointed out how Pete has inherited his mum’s looks. Poppy said: “Omg your mum looks like Pete in a wig! Happy birthday Julie xxx”
Patricia posted: “I don’t think the apple has fallen far from the tree in your family ” Bev said: “What a lovely mum you have! You and your brother look so like her! Happy Birthday.”
The Sandifords also have some famous comedy connections as Pete is the great-nephew of Chuckle Brothers Paul and Barry. Sophie paid a heartfelt tribute to Barry after he died in 2018.

She said: “A truly lovely and funny man to be around. You filled millions of childhoods with laughter and entertainment including mine and Peters.
“You will be sadly missed by many. Rest in peace Uncle Barry. Lots of love from me, to you.” Pete took to Instagram after the sad news and shared a childhood photo with Barry and Paul alongside the caption: “We are lucky enough to call him Uncle Barry.”
