GK Barry has shared a family update to her popular social media channels. The TikTok star’s rise to stardom began in 2020, amassing millions of followers and receiving millions of likes on her content.
Within a year of active social media engagement, GK hit the one million follower milestone, establishing her as a prominent online figure. Post-lockdown, GK noticed an increase in public recognition thanks to her popular videos. She now has a staggering 4.1m followers on the video platform.
The social media influencer has since appeared on the latest series of I’m A Celebrity and has featured as a panellist on ITV’s Loose Women alongside the show regulars, such as Coleen Nolan and Denise Welch.
In her personal life, GK goes by her real name ‘Grace’, while she is known for her comedy videos she also shares regular updates about her life off social media. In her most recent Instagram post she said: “Introducing our newest daughter Sherry-Baby (double barrel ofc) She’s a Korean Maltese and has completed our family.
“Noodle is obsessed with his new sister/best friend, hope you love her as much as we do. Noodle & Sherry-Baby 4 Life.” The I’m A Celebrity star has welcomed another dog into her family home, the caption was accompanied by photos of the pets with her family.
One of the pictures showed both dogs with GK’s current girlfriend, Ipswich footballer Ella Rutherford. GK Barry discussed about how the pair got together on her Saving Grace podcast. She said: “I saw her Instagram and I thought hello, I followed her and she followed me.
“She messaged me and we’ve never moved out. Literally five seconds in I was like ‘is it too early to say I love you’ probably. So I had to wait about four weeks.”
Prior to jetting off to Australia for the challenging TV show last year, GK Barry left a life-sized cardboard cut-out with her girlfriend. Ella was a constant show of support whenever GK was faced with challenges in the jungle, in one message on social media at the time, she posted: “You count them stars Queen 9/10 she’s smashed that, never in doubt. So proud of my lil jungle babe.”
The internet personality was the fifth campmate to be voted out but was a fan favourite throughout her time down under. The new family addition comes after the couple welcomed Noodle into their home in January.
In a joint post with girlfriend, Ella, the TikTok sensation said: “Meet our son Noodle the Toy Poodle. we’ve had him for a while but this is the official hard launch x.” The adorable photos showed the two holding their new puppy.”
After the recent family announcement, GK has been sent supportive and loving messages. Coleen Nolan commented “gorgeous” with a red heart emoji. Another message read: “Maltese are THE BEST breed – they know exactly what you’re feeling and love hard. Enjoy.”
A further supportive comment was “@ellarutherford_ and @gkbarry_ ,so happy for you both” while others commented “Oh my goodness, she is adorable. Welcome home poppet” and “oh my gosh sobbing.”
