Emmerdale’s Joe-Warren Plant shares ‘my girl’ message for a special occasion.

Emmerdale actor Joe-Warren Plant has wished his girlfriend a happy birthday. Joe is known for playing Jacob Gallagher in the fictional village of Emmerdale.

The role of Jacob has been portrayed by Joe for 15 years, after he joined in 2010. During his time in the village, the actor has been involved in many prominent storylines. This includes finding out he is adopted and the biological son of Leyla Harding.

Other major storylines include being groomed by Maya Stepney and having to deal with the death of his mum after a dramatic limo crash. Off-screen, Joe shares regular updates from his life outside of Emmerdale.


He boasts close to 100,000 followers on Instagram and has has uploaded 64 posts, from trips with his girlfriend to award ceremonies with his co-stars and the stint he had on Dancing on Ice in 2021.
The most recent update from the soap star was on his Instagram story, he shared a collage of four pictures with his girlfriend, Isabella. The added message read “Happy Birthday my girl.”

Joe and his girlfriend have been dating since January, just months after he and his previous girlfriend split. The Emmerdale star and model Anna Norton split in September last year.

While his new girlfriend has a private Instagram account, reposts from her account to Joe’s have given fans an insight into their relationship. A first photo from the two was shared in January after the two posed for a mirror selfie and uploaded the snap to Instagram stories.

The couple enjoyed a trip to Barcelona last month. A picture of the two standing in front of a water fountain was posted by Joe, with co-stars and fans all sharing messages of support.

Laura Norton who plays Kerry Wyatt on Emmerdale left a red heart emoji. A fan of the soap star commented: “Beautiful. I was the weird girl that asked if your Jacob on Emmerdale and shared the flight with you! Hope you had the best time. Pics look fab.”

Joe has recently opened up about keeping in touch with his on-screen parents outside of the show as he deals with the aftermath of their exits. Speaking at a press event, Joe admitted that he still keeps in contact with Matthew Wolfenden (David) and Roxy Shahidi (Leyla) off-screen.

He said: “Of course, I mean we’re due to go out for lunch very soon, and you know, I saw Matthew in panto and me and Roxy went down together. So that was like a really nice moment. But yeah, I keep in touch with them all the time.


“Now that Matthew and Roxy are gone, it’s heartbreaking but it’s allowed me to work with other people that I don’t usually have scenes with. It’s been quite a breath of fresh air really.”
