“Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh Enjoys Reunion Night Out with Former Co-Stars”

Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh enjoyed a night out with her ex-castmates Natalie Ann Jamieson and Roxy Shahidi, who had their characters dramatically killed off from the show in February.

Valentine’s Day was anything but romantic in the Dales when a limousine accident brought tragedy to the village. The limo, filled with the show’s female characters, was involved in a crash that resulted in three heartbreaking deaths. Suzy Merton, played by Martelle Edinborough, and Leyla Harding, portrayed by Roxy Shahidi, met a terrible fate. Viewers were then shocked with the soap’s third death as Amy Wyatt, played by Natalie Ann Jamieson, died after plummeting into a freezing lake.

Even after their on-screen demise, Natalie and Roxy have been seen hanging out with Amy Walsh, known for her role as Tracy Robinson on the soap. Fans got a glimpse into their get-together when Natalie uploaded a photo of the group, which included Last One Laughing UK’s comedian Lou Sanders, who they watched perform live.

Natalie expressed her excitement about the outing in her Instagram story, writing: “Absolutely wonderful @louliesanders – always a great show, go see her if she tours near you!” Reflecting on her character’s tragic end after six years in Emmerdale, Natalie disclosed in an exclusive chat with The Mirror’s Notebook that she was unaware at first that her character would be leaving the show, reports the Mirror.

Emmerdale's Amy Walsh has confessed soap bosses withheld details about her character Tracy Robinson's sad secret for months

During her interview with The Mirror’s Notebook, Natalie confessed: “I had been asking for meetings about what was coming up for Amy and saying that I’d really like some challenging, new stuff. They knew they had this coming up and they didn’t have anything planned for Amy – and that was the direction that I wanted to go in.”

She revealed, “It worked out that this was going to be Amy’s exit and I didn’t know it was going to be death at first. When they told me, I was like, ‘Oh!’ It’s really hard to know whether you would prefer for your character to die if you’re going, or to go in the back of a taxi.”

Roxy Shahidi, known for playing Leyla since 2008, expressed her shock about her unexpected departure from the ITV soap, telling The Sun, “When I first found out, I was very shocked. I had been in the show for a long time, and I wasn’t expecting this news.

“Of course, it’s sad to see my character die, and I have loved playing Leyla because she is so funny, camp, and a brilliant character. But at the same time, if I had left it another five years, I might not have felt as excited as I do now,” she added.

Closing her remarks, Roxy announced her excitement for future endeavours: “I’ve always wanted to explore other things and now I’ve got the opportunity.”
