Emmerdale star Fiona Wade, who played Priya Kotecha between 2011 and 2023, has posted some amazing snaps from her Indian holiday with her co-star husband, Simon Cotton
Former Emmerdale star Fiona Wade, who played Priya Kotecha for over a decade, has posted incredible snapshots of her lavish holiday. Fiona has been enjoying a pre-Christmas break with her husband, Simon Cotton – who she met on the show.
The couple ventured to a retreat in Goa for a ‘body mind and soul reset’ and have shared some stunning photos of their trip to India. Along with snaps of herself in a bikini, beach photos and selfies, Fiona wrote: “North & South Goa.. Utterly beautiful. Incredible memories. We met so many beautiful people inside and out. I fell in love with India & the impression it’s left on me will stay with me always Feeling recharged and so blessed”.
In a previous post where Fiona was pictured staring out at the stunning view of South Goa, she wrote the caption: “Total body mind & soul reset at the stunning Netravali retreat in South Goa. Such a special place”.
In the comments, her Emmerdale co-star Samantha Giles (who played Bernice Blackstock) commented: “Looks fabulous” followed by three love hearts. Michelle Hardwick (Vanessa Woodfield) added: “These are beautiful Fi”.
Fiona and her husband, Simon, celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in October. The pair met in 2017 when Simon made a brief appearance in Emmerdale as Home Farm Estate agent Hugh Pryant. Hugh had a business interaction with Rebecca White (Emily Head) that didn’t go to plan when his car ended up on fire.
Simon has not just been in Emmerdale, he’s also appeared in The Fall Of The Krays, The Unseen, Doctors, and Amazon Prime’s Hanna.
At the time of their anniversary, Fiona posted a series of snaps from their life together and wrote: “Happy 5 years baby!! The happiest 5 years of my life have been because of you. I love you endlessly & I can’t wait for eternity with you.”
Last year, Fiona left Emmerdale. Her character, Priya, decided to leave the village after a distressing event at Take A Vow. A small fire reminded Priya of the devastating incident in a maze fire that had left her permanently scarred.
The episode ended with an emotional scene that saw Priya and her daughter Amba bid their family farewell, before driving off to begin their new adventure. Meanwhile, Fiona went on to star in the tour of 2:22 A Ghost Story alongside Vera Chok, Jay McGuiness and George Rainsford.
