Emmerdale viewers were left reeling as they watched Dr Todd (Caroline Harker) let rip on her very first day in the A&E department – but some were distracted by a familiar face
Emmerdale fans were left scratching their heads after recognising the new character, Dr Todd. The medic, who made her debut in a dramatic A&E scene with Jacob Gallagher (played by Joe Warren Plant), is portrayed by actress Caroline Harker.
Fans quickly realised they’d seen her before, as she was a key figure in the crime drama ‘Touch of Frost’, where she played Hazel from 1992 to 2010. One fan took to Reddit to ask others if they recognised her, writing: “Who played the white haired Dr Todd in tonight’s episode? I’m sure I’ve seen her in something before.”
Another fan chimed in, revealing that she recently appeared in ‘Joan’ as Ms Taylor Brown, a posh lady who was tricked into having a valuable painting stolen from her.
However, her most notable role to date has been in the BBC drama House of Cards, where her performance as Mattie earned her a BAFTA nomination. With both parents in the acting industry, it seems Caroline was destined for the screen.
She was educated at a strict convent boarding school run by nuns before attending drama school and eventually landing a role in Emmerdale, much to the joy of viewers. Catch Emmerdale on ITV at 7.30pm, reports the Express.
