EastEnders star Scott Maslen has been on our TV screens for decades and is best known for portraying Jack Branning on the BBC soap, but what do we know about him off-screen?
Scott Maslen, a familiar face on our telly for years, first rose to fame as Phil Hunter in The Bill. He’s now most recognised for his role as Jack Branning in BBC’s EastEnders, a character he’s been playing since 2007.
At 53, Scott has been a constant presence on the soap and has been involved in countless major storylines as Jack. The character is set to be in the spotlight during EastEnders’ 40th anniversary celebrations, where he’ll attempt to win back his estranged wife Denise Fox (played by Diane Parish) in an intense live episode.
While we’ve become quite acquainted with Jack over time, what about Scott’s life away from the cameras? Let’s delve in…

Scott is married to singer and music producer Estelle Rubio. The couple were together for nine years before saying their vows in September 2008, reports Plymouth Live.
Scott and Estelle are proud parents to their son Zak Alexander, born in January 2001. Doting dad Scott often posts pictures of his son on social media, showing off their striking resemblance. The father-son pair enjoy spending quality time together, with Scott also keeping fans updated on Zak’s university journey after moving out.
Scott’s Instagram feed is filled with pictures from his fishing trips, as well as snaps with his EastEnders co-stars, who he shares a tight-knit relationship with.

Fans caught a glimpse of Scott enjoying a fun night out in an Instagram photo alongside Tony Clay, Ross Boatman, James Farrar, and James Bye, who portray Callum Highway, Harvey Monroe, Zack Hudson, and Martin Fowler respectively on the show.
Scott is also super close to former EastEnders star Samantha Womack, whom viewers will remember as his on-screen spouse Ronnie Mitchell. The duo have shared a strong bond since their teen days.
In real life, Scott is the proud godfather to Samantha’s children, Lily-Rose and Benjamin whom she shares with her ex Mark Womack and it’s believed that Samantha’s son Benjamin and Scott’s son Zak are also best friends.

Anticipation is high as Scott gears up to appear in EastEnders much-anticipated live episode slotted for Thursday, 20 February, offering fans the chance to get interactive by voting on whether Denise should choose Jack or Ravi (played by Aaron Thiara).
Chatting about his role in the milestone episode, Scott couldn’t hide his excitement: “We’re all going to be buzzing during anniversary week and the live because the show is setting the bar really high like they always do, and it’ll be great fun.”
