“Danny Jones’ Remarks on Marriage to Wife Georgia Days Before Maura Higgins ‘Kiss'”

Danny Jones has been married to wife Georgia Horsley since 2014 and the couple share son Cooper together – but the McFly singer was seen appearing to kiss Maura Higgins at a BRIT Awards after party

Danny Jones dropped a series of bombshell remarks about his marital status, just days before he was reportedly spotted kissing Maura Higgins.

The McFly frontman and his I’m A Celebrity co-star Maura – who recently parted ways with Pete Wicks – were seen to be apparently kissing at a post-BRIT Awards bash. Danny has been blamed by fans over the alleged kiss, as he is married to wife Georgia and the pair share son Cooper together. In a podcast that aired just days prior, Danny made light-hearted comments about “leaving” his wife. During a chat with Rob Beckett and Josh Widdecombe on their Parenting Hell podcast, Danny shared that he had moved house while participating in the jungle-based ITV reality show last year.

Discussing his move, Danny quipped: “Are you renovating? Same mate. It’s a nightmare isn’t it?” as Rob jested: “Is that why you went in the jungle to get money for the renovations?”

Josh joined in the banter, suggesting: “To get away with it. Have my kitchen done – three weeks in the jungle.” Rob then joked about the candid reasons celebrities might join the show: “you’re honest when they go – why are you here?

“I’ve got a massive tax bill and she’s left me. That’s why I’m here. Give me the kangaroo d*** and let’s get this done.”, reports the Mirror.

Danny responded with: “Do you know what? I left my wife to move,” before jesting further: “I just left my wife,” prompting laughter from all three.

Rob labelled it an “awkward exclusive” before Josh echoed: “What an exclusive.” Danny then clarified: “I left my wife to move house so I’m surprised she’s still with me to be honest because she moved the house all by herself.”

Following his triumphant return from the I’m A Celebrity jungle, Danny shared that his other half Georgia was feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all. He recounted, “When I got back, my wife was like I think I just need to go away to a hut myself for a few days.

“I said go and take yourself away and have a few days. You know what it was like, she was overwhelmed.

“It got too much for her, I could see it in her. I was like you just need to go away,” reflecting on how the pressure had built up for Georgia.

True to his word, she did indulge in a solo retreat. .At the time, Georgia took to social media sharing her state of mind: “I was going into this New Year burnt out.

“Everything I didn’t want to feel entering 2025… I felt. Over a month of solo parenting, moving house on my own, working hard on my career whilst Danny was in the jungle with snakes in his pants was A LOT!

“So whilst I was still in Australia I decided I needed to do something for me… a solo trip, one to push me out of my comfort zone but also one to give me the break I craved. So… I booked a little cabin in the middle of nowhere, somewhere near Shropshire, and found a little nugget of calm in my overwhelmed brain. I chopped fire wood, built fires, sat in silence, read books, slept, took in the views, watched the sheep in the nearby field… and it was perfect.”

Danny also took time during their conversation to reflect on the pearls of wisdom he’s gleaned from his adventures in parenthood.

“I’ve definitely learned that time with my son is more important than anything. Being there for him and being present when he needs that emotional support.

“Like last night, I find myself slipping back into my [old] ways,” he confessed. “‘It’s bedtime, get to bed, clean your teeth mate.

“Dinner’s on, I’m kind of trying to cook for mummy and I’ve got to be here’. It does get a lot but we’re all the same and some nights I’m better than others – some nights, I’m nailing life and bedtime.

“The best thing I’ve learned is that time is hard to find but when you do find it, it’s really nice. Enjoying that time – not that I’ve ever not enjoyed it – but when I’ve been distracted and someone needs my attention or needs an answer, I think that’s really important. He notices it.”
