Coronation Street’s Tina O’Brien shares a fun day out in Liverpool that ‘didn’t disappoint’.

Coronation Street’s Tina O’Brien paid a visit to one of Liverpool’s newly-refurbished venues which “didn’t disappoint.” The soap star is renowned for her role as Sarah Platt on the Cobbles. It has been a turbulent time for Sarah in recent weeks as her current boyfriend Kit Green found himself at the centre of a violent altercation with troublemaker Mick Michaelis. Mick arrived in Weatherfield earlier this year and was quick to ruffle feathers. Sarah has recently discovered that her new beau is actually the biological father of Mick’s son Brody.

So it comes as no surprise that their relationship has definitely been put to the test in its early stages.

Away from the screen, Tina’s life is far less dramatic as she lives with her husband Adam Crofts and two children Scarlett and Beau. The 41-year-old soap star regularly keeps fans updated on her life away from the limelight on social media.

She recently shared a post on Instagram as she visited Liverpool’s Hollywood Bowl on Edge Lane. The popular entertainment venue first opened in 1990 but has recently undergone a major £2.1m renovation.

When it first opened, the purpose built ten-pin bowling alley boasted a 1950’s American theme and was “one of Britain’s biggest single-level bowling centres” at the time. A staple for birthday parties, a weekend treat or for a first date, many of us have made happy memories enjoying the lanes and the many arcade games.

Through the decades, it has hosted more than seven million games and welcomed famous faces like Samuel L. Jackson and Lady Gaga. Now, the Hollywood Bowl on Liverpool’s Edge Lane has completed its “monumental” renovation, which has seen upgrades to the venue’s 28 ten-pin bowling lanes, as well as amusements and a bar and dine

Hollywood Bowl re-opened its doors two months ago and Tina visited with her son Beau. The soap star gave her verdict in a video posted on Instagram where she admitted it “didn’t disappoint.”

She wrote: “Bowling’s always been a family favourite and @hollywoodbowluk Liverpool Edge Lane didn’t disappoint. We had such a fun night. From the arcades to the food and, of course, the bowling. Me and Beau absolutely loved it, and we’ll definitely be back soon.”

Tina regularly shares an insight into her family life, as she shares daughter Scarlett with Ryan Thomas. The two were in a relationship from 2003 to 2009 and had their daughter in 2008.

In a recent Instagram post, the actress shared several snaps from a holiday to Barbados with Scarlett. She said: “Barbados with @scarlettjthomas26.” Other Coronation Street stars took to the comments, responding to the snaps. Lucy Fallon wrote “Gorgeous xxx” and Helen Flanagan commented a love heart emoji.

Tina has played the role of Sarah Platt on the cobbles since 1999. She marked 25 years on the show last year after making her first appearance when she was 16-years-old. The role has been on-and-off over the years but she has been a permanent fixture on our screens for over a decade.

The character has been at the centre of some of Corrie’s most dramatic storylines such as her teenage pregnancy and rollercoaster relationship with Jason Grimshaw.
