Tina O’Brien has shared some holiday snaps with her daughter, Scarlett Thomas. The Coronation Street star shares Scarlett with Ryan Thomas. The two were in a relationship from 2003 to 2009 and had their daughter in 2008.
Tina has played the role of Sarah Platt on the cobbles since 1999. She marked 25 years on the show last year after making her first appearance when she was 16-years-old. The role has been on-and-off over the years but she has been a permanent fixture on our screens for over a decade.
The character has been at the centre of some of Corrie’s most dramatic storylines such as her teenage pregnancy and rollercoaster relationship with Jason Grimshaw. Tina’s life away from the screen is fortunately a lot less turbulent as she is the proud mum of two, Scarlett and Beau.
In her most recent Instagram post, the actress said: “Barbados with @scarlettjthomas26” alongside a series of pictures from the trip away. Other Coronation Street stars took to the comments, responding to the snaps. Lucy Fallon wrote “Gorgeous xxx” and Helen Flanagan commented a love heart emoji.
Fans commented on the similarities between the mum and daughter. One fan said: “She’s your mini” and another added “She is 100% a mix of both you and Ryan!” Another comment said: “you look so beautiful ! hope you and Scarlett had the most amazing time.”
Tina and Ryan are proud parents and have previously spoken about the 16-year-old’s first role in Waterloo Road. Before the series started, Tina wrote on social media: “Very excited to finally be able to announce that my gorgeous, lovely, talented Scarlett Thomas will be in the new series of Waterloo Road.”
