Coronation Street’s Samia Longchambon has shared a heartfelt shout-out to the chef who keeps the cast well-fed on the ITV soap’s set.
The 42-year-old actress, beloved for her role as Maria Windass (formerly Connor) since 2000, has been at the heart of some of the most dramatic plotlines over the past two and a half decades.
On Tuesday (April 29), she took to Instagram to acknowledge chef Leon, who ensures the Corrie crew are nourished during their demanding filming schedules.
In a behind-the-scenes snap from the canteen, Samia is seen with her arm around Leon, both beaming for the camera.

Posting the photo on her Instagram Story, Samia penned: “This is our lovely chef at Corrie.”, reports Leicestershire Live.
“Unsung hero and feeder who makes the most delicious lunches everyday that keep us going! Thanks Leon.. We appreciate you!”.
This follows a rare social media post from Samia featuring her teenage daughter Freya, who typically shies away from her mum’s online presence.

Samia had previously explained that Freya preferred to stay out of the limelight, stating in an Instagram post last summer: “Absence of pics of my 14-year-old as she does not think it’s cool to be on my grid these days.. gotta respect that!”.
However, this didn’t prevent Freya from using her own social media to honour her mum on Mothering Sunday.
Samia reposted the sweet tribute from her daughter to her own Instagram Story on Sunday (March 30).

In a heartwarming tribute, the post showcased photos of the duo, capturing moments such as Samia’s wedding to her Dancing on Ice star hubby Sylvain Longchambon.
Freya penned a touching note with the post, saying: “Happy Mother’s Day love you,” and the doting mum-of-two replied: “Love you my Frey.”
