Coronation Street seems to be hinting at a blossoming romance between Lauren Bolton and another resident of the cobbles.
Lauren, played by Cait Fitton, has been a regular on the ITV soap since her first appearance in 2022. As a fiery and loyal teenager, she’s had her fair share of dramatic moments on the street.
Her storylines have ranged from dealing with her racist far-right extremist father Reece Bolton, portrayed by Scott Anson, to going missing after being left for dead by her abuser Joel Deering, played by Calum Lill, who also got her pregnant – her time in Weatherfield has certainly been eventful.
Particularly in the past year, as Lauren ended up killing Joel, sparking a major whodunnit on the soap. Luckily, Lauren wasn’t imprisoned for the crime.

In addition to all this, Lauren has also been managing her baby Frankie’s health problems. The little one recently underwent a stem cell transplant after being diagnosed with aplastic anaemia, reports Leicestershire Live.
However, lately, Lauren found herself being blackmailed after she and Betsy Swain, played by Sydney Martin, crashed Tracy Barlow’s, played by Kate Ford, flower van. She began receiving messages from an anonymous person claiming to know what she’d done.

Lauren was even more shocked when she realised her blackmailer had photographic proof. Paranoid, during Friday’s episode (May 9), she started to suspect her friend Bobby Crawford, played by Jack Carroll.
However, later her blackmailer was finally revealed to be none other than youngster Jake Windass, played by Bobby Bradshaw.
EastEnders enthusiasts rejoiced as Lauren’s tough times seemed to be easing, but many Corrie viewers are abuzz about a potential new romance on the Street. In the latest episode, Lauren shared her difficulty in job hunting with Aadi Alahan (played by Adam Hussain), who offers to help by speaking with his boss at Frescho’s, much to her excitement.

Coronation Street fans are now speculating that sparks could fly between the two. Chatting on a Corrie fan page on Facebook, one fan questioned, “Anyone else pick up on a vibe between Lauren and Aadi?” while another chimed in with an eager “Yesss definitely.”
But not everyone is convinced this budding friendship will bloom into a love story. Amidst news that Adam Hussain, who portrays Aadi, is set to leave the series, some fans expect this connection is headed for heartache instead of happiness.
Reflecting on Aadi’s impending departure, one viewer speculated, “Well isn’t Aadi leaving? So it obviously won’t last.” Another sympathetically remarked, “Poor Lauren she can’t catch a break!”
