Coronation Street viewers have pieced together the true identity of Dee-Dee Bailey’s latest love interest.
The past year has been a whirlwind for soap favourite Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) on the cobbles. Last year, she was betrothed to solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill), who met his end in September after his heinous crimes were revealed.
Fans will remember that he had a history of grooming and abusing young girls, including Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton). Joel’s true nature was eventually unmasked, and his body was discovered in a local river at the end of September.
Several residents, including Dee-Dee, became suspects, but it was ultimately revealed that Lauren was the one who killed him.

Despite Joel’s murder, Dee-Dee’s ordeal didn’t stop there as she discovered she was expecting his child. Determined to have nothing to do with it, Dee-Dee planned to give the baby to her brother James (Jason Callender), reports Leicestershire Live.
In March, Dee-Dee gave birth to baby Laila following a traumatic birth experience that resulted in significant blood loss and a hysterectomy.
Initially, Dee-Dee struggled and was unsure whether she wanted to keep Laila. However, recent scenes have shown Dee-Dee growing closer to the little girl she gave up.

Moreover, this week she went behind James’ back to have Laila christened, despite his own religious beliefs. When James found out, he was furious.
During Friday’s episode, Dee-Dee caught the eye of a charming stranger named Ollie in the Rovers. The pair quickly hit it off after he offered to buy her a drink, sparking speculation of a potential new romance.

However, fans are not convinced by Ollie’s charming facade and have taken to a Coronation Street Facebook fan page to share their theories about his true identity. One fan asked: “What do we think of Ollie then?” prompting another to comment: “Something suspicious about him, can’t put my finger on it.”
Others have suggested that Ollie may have a hidden agenda, with one fan speculating: “I think he might have known Joel and is out to get revenge.”
Another agreed, writing: “That’s a good shout one of his dodgy lawyer friends maybe.” A fifth fan chimed in: “Oh yeah could be.”
