Kevin and Debbie Webster have had quite the family drama unfold on Coronation Street, as they were recently reunited with their younger half-brother Carl Webster, who’s been stirring up trouble since his dramatic entrance.
The character, played by actor Jonathan Howard, appeared earlier this month where he had a car collision with Kevin’s wife Abi Webster.
Neither of them realised their connection; Abi was clueless he was her brother-in-law and vice versa. After their fiery encounter turned into cheeky flirtations, they soon discovered their awkward connection and kept up the flirty chat in scenes set to air later this week.
Next week’s episodes heat things up as Carl drops in at No. 13, displaying signs of distress that catches Abi’s attention.
Carl makes out that he’s worried about Kevin’s cancer and wishes they’d spent more time together. This prompts Abi to assure Carl that he’s a decent bloke and despite their rocky start, she’s pleased that he’s here

Discussing the upcoming scenes on Wednesday’s This Morning, soap expert Sharon Marshall teased even more drama for Carl.
Sharon, 53, said: “Will it be reciprocated and if so, poor Kev! You can’t cheat on our Kev!” adding, “There’s secrets to come out about Carl as well, why did he leave Germany? There’s a few things that are going to come out there!”.
Jonathan Howard, a 38-year-old actor from Lancashire, is taking on the role of Carl in Coronation Street. The talented actor, who trained at LAMDA, has had an impressive career with roles in big-name productions like World War Z, Downton Abbey, and Thor: The Dark World all in 2013.

He continued to make his mark on the screen with parts in Mr Selfridge in 2014 and Godzilla: King of the Monsters in 2019. Now, he’s winning over audiences as Carl Webster on the cobbles.
Away from the soap, Jonathan made headlines last December when he announced a new role in the horror film, The Dreadful, where he’ll star alongside Sophie Turner and Kit Harington.
In his personal life, it’s believed that Jonathan is married to actress Elodie Yung, known for her roles in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Daredevil and most recently, she played the lead role of Thony De La Rosa in The Cleaning Lady.
