Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver is not saying goodbye to Weatherfield just yet, as it has been confirmed she will be taking part in an exciting new opportunity for the ITV soap. Sharon Marshall, who is This Morning’s soap expert said: “I’m so excited I can confirm Corrie is going on tour.”

For the first time ever, Coronation Street have announced a UK tour, called ‘An Audience with Coronation Street.” The tour is set give fans a chance to get up close and personal with their favourite Corrie stars, and will arrive in Salford, London, Glasgow and Sheffield in September 2025.

Sharon Marshall is set to host the events, as she continued: “There’s going to be five stars per show. We’re also going to have a golden legend and, those names, are to be announced.” The soap expert explained : “I can tell you two more names that have signed up as well. Sue Cleaver, Eileen Grimshaw herself, is going to be doing London with me. I’m going to get all her secrets, all the backstage gossip.”

Earlier this year, ITV confirmed Coronation Street legend Sue had decided to bid farewell to the Cobbles after 25 years in the iconic role. Eileen’s dramatic exit storyline is set to unfold by late Spring. Sue appeared on Loose Women to discuss her decision to leave the ITV soap.

‌She said: “After 25 wonderful wonderful years it is time to hang Eileen back up in the prop cupboard”. She said “they’ve left the door fully open” if she would like to return in the future. Her decision to step away from the Cobbles is part of her own personal goal to explore life outside of her comfort zone. The 61-year old said: “I really want to empower other women and I want to do something new.”

She first appeared on the soap in 2000, when she worked alongside “icons” like Bill Roach and Liz Dawn. She said that she only planned to be there for one year but “it became my family”. Coronation Street have already started filming her exit storyline, as Julie Carp (Katy Cavanagh) recently made a long awaited return to Weatherfield.

Other Corrie stars are set to make an appearance in the live tour, including Vicky Myers (D.S Lisa Swain), Andrew Whyment (Kirk Sutherland), Jack P Shepherd (David Platt), Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor), and Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald).

Sharon explained: “What I want is behind the scenes gossip”, as fans can expect an intimate interview session with some of Corrie’s most beloved cast members. Each show will include five cast members, which will vary, as well as one Coronation Street legend set to take to the stage. Tickets go on sale on the website on Friday March 14 and are priced from £29.50.
