Coronation Street’s Kate Spencer has excitedly revealed that she is expecting her first child with husband Paul Walker, sharing the wonderful news alongside a sweet ultrasound photo on Sunday.
The 29 year old soap star posted a touching picture of Paul giving her a loving kiss on the head as she proudly showed off the scan to the camera.
Kate, who married the professional boxer in 2022, shared feelings of gratitude and joy as they eagerly await the arrival of their little one in spring next year.
Expressing her joy, Kate wrote: “19 weeks of loving you, forever to go! Hugely grateful, blessed and unbelievably excited to be welcoming the next generation of the Walkers into our family in March 2026.”
The actress portrayed Grace Vickers from 2019 until 2022, making history as part of the first black family on the cobbles, reports the Daily Star.
Paul proposed to Kate during a romantic dinner date in June 2021. She told her followers at the time that she was moved to tears when he got down on one knee at a steakhouse.
Kate shared a series of heartfelt messages on her social media platforms at the time, writing: “3 years ago he asked me what my perfect day consisted of.
“I said: ‘Get up early, train in the morning, some time to chill by myself, good food, good coffee, and do something theatre/acting related.
“Yesterday, we went to the gym, had great coffee, learnt some lines for Corrie, went on a little walk, went to a pub, played backgammon, made tiramisu and ate steak. It was perfect. And then this happened.”
Revealing the engagement, Kate posted a selfie of herself, beaming whilst showing off her engagement ring as she cuddled Paul.
She also shared a collection of snaps on Instagram, documenting the special day when Paul got down on one knee.
Amongst these pictures was an adorable image of the pair in a garden, with Kate’s dazzling engagement ring stealing the spotlight. Kate also offered her fans a peek into the moment she revealed the thrilling news to her relatives during a Zoom call, where she could be seen flaunting her ring.
The caption for one of the last photos stated: “I b****y love you. And I’m super thankful you swiped right.”
Kate went on to say: “After the Tomahawk steak, before the Tiramisu, and with a coffee in hand, he turned me into an absolute blubbering mess. A million times over, completely and utterly yes.”
