Coleen Rooney pledges to make a change after the I’m A Celebrity reunion!

Coleen Rooney has remained close friends with I'm A Celebrity campmate Alan Halsall

Coleen Rooney was thrilled as she enjoyed a special I’m A Celebrity reunion over the weekend. The mum-of-four was a hit with fans during the last season of TV’s toughest entertainment challenge.

The 38-year-old Croxteth native became close friends with Coronation Street star, Alan Halsall, during their time in the camp together. Coleen revealed the two enjoyed a catch up over the weekend with their families.

She shared a snap of the gathering with her 1.5m Instagram followers. Coleen vowed her dad, Tony McLoughlin, would be getting the drinks in next. She captioned the picture: “Lovely catch up with Alan Halsall and the gang.

“Tony’s getting the cosmo’s in next time.” Coleen was joined by her parents, Tony and Colette McLoughlin, and her two youngest children, Kit and Cass. Alan was pictured with his daughter, Sienna Rae, who he shares with ex Lucy Jo Hudson.

The Corrie star, renowned for his role, as Tyrone Dobbs reshared the picture his followers. He said: “I can’t wait Tony. Good times, great food, amazing friends.”

Alan and Coleen were part of one of the most memorable moments from last season’s I’m A Celeb when they joked about the number of stars they had won in a Bushtucker trial. The 42-year-old was impressed by Coleen’s acting skills and said she should appear on Corrie in the future.

He said: “I’ll be getting you a job in Coronation Street before you know it. She’ll be the barmaid of the Rovers Return before you know it!”

‌Coleen confirmed Alan is still trying to get her behind the bar in an interview with the Daily Star after the show ended. She said: “Alan is trying to get me behind the bar in Coronation Street. I loved performing arts and acting when I was younger. I always went to drama classes.”

The I’m a Celeb runner-up thinks being in the spotlight means people would struggle to accept her playing a character. Coleen added: “I feel like it would be hard to get into the industry. People see me as me, especially after I’m A Celebrity. If I did a role, I think it would be hard for people to see me as the character.”

Coleen, who shares four children with Wayne Rooney, has stepped back into the limelight in style over recent months. Since her claims about Rebekah Vardy in the high profile Wagatha Christie libel trial were ruled to be “substantially true”, the Croxteth native has released a Disney+ documentary, an autobiography, competed on I’m A Celebrity and has now launched a new wellness range with Applied Nutrition. Coleen spoke to the ECHO at the launch of her new product in Liverpool ONE earlier this year and explained the decision to put herself back in the spotlight felt like a natural progression.
