Coleen Rooney opens up about her challenging experience with her role in ITV’s Coronation Street.

Alan Halsall is trying to get Coleen Rooney to join the cast of Coronation Street. The two met when they were on the latest series of I’m a Celebrity together.

After the show, the campmates have remained in contact with each other and share a WhatsApp group. The 38-year-old soap actor is keen for Coleen to swap the jungle for the cobbles.

She told the Daily Star: “Alan is trying to get me behind the bar in Coronation Street. I loved performing arts and acting when I was younger. I always went to drama classes.”

The I’m a Celeb runner-up thinks being in the spotlight means people would struggle to accept her playing a character. Coleen added: “I feel like it would be hard to get into the industry. People see me as me, especially after I’m A Celebrity. If I did a role, I think it would be hard for people to see me as the character.”

While in the jungle, Alan and Coleen took part in the ‘Farmyard of Fear’ trial together. After getting to grips with the trial, they were quickly in the swing of things which led to all stars being won. Heading back to camp, Alan and Coleen hatched a sneaky plan to pretend they only got 2 stars, and then surprise them when the dinner came that evening.
