Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has humorously shared how a bizarre skincare routine could have led to the end of her second marriage.
The TV presenter revealed that incorporating snake semen into her skincare regime made her fear that her then-husband, Ray Fensome, might decide to end their relationship.
She started the unusual habit during her time on the 2009 TV show The Truth About Beauty, where she was required to experiment with various skincare methods.
During an interview with the Skin, Unfiltered podcast, Coleen was asked about the “silliest thing” she had ever done to her skin.
Having married musician Ray Fensome two years prior, she quipped that their marriage could have been short-lived.

Coleen shared with the podcast: “It isn’t the reason why my marriage split up, but it easily could have been, because when he came into bed when I was doing this show..
“I had gloves on with moisturiser, socks on, I had these tapes holding my face up. I had snake semen on my face. I thought, well if he doesn’t leave me now, he’s never going to leave me.”

Coleen and Ray share a daughter, Ciara, born in 2001. The couple eventually divorced in 2018.
Before Ray, the Loose Women host was married to EastEnders actor Shane Richie. They had two sons, Shane and Jake, before their divorce in 1999.
Over the years, thanks to her time on the Loose Women panel, Coleen has become one of the most familiar faces on morning television.

After making her debut as a guest on the show in 2000, she soon became a permanent panellist, a role she has held intermittently ever since.
Prior to her broadcasting career, Coleen first stepped into the limelight as part of a girl band with her five sisters. With decades of chart-topping success in both England and Ireland, they are one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.
