Coleen and Wayne Rooney were seen at Wimbledon following a recent family update.

Wayne and Coleen at Wimbledon 2025

Coleen and Wayne Rooney have been pictured soaking up the atmosphere at Wimbledon this week following an exciting family announcement. The legendary tennis championships got underway last week and it is widely viewed as the most prestigious event in the sports calendar.

Wimbledon is often a huge attraction for celebrities. One of the first stars to arrive at the tournament was Sir David Beckham. Others who have been spotted include comedy legend Joanna Lumley, former England manager Gareth Southgate, Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch as well as some members of the Royal Family.

Coleen Rooney took to Instagram to share a snap alongside her husband Wayne at Wimbledon. Coleen is wearing a long white dress with a glass of champagne in hand, while Wayne wears a blue polo shirt and grey jacket.

Celebrities were quick to take to the comments on social media to complement the couple, particularly Coleen’s campmates from her incredible stint on I’m A Celebrity last year, when she finished in second place behind McFly’s Danny Jones.

Tony Bellew added emojis while Maura Higgins wrote: “So gorgeous” with a red love heart emoji. Melvin Odoom said: “Looking good guys” and Dean McCullough said: “gorgeousssss” with a heart eyes emoji.

Fans also added to the comments with one writing: “Lovely photo hope you both have had a great day xx.” A second wrote: “You look absolutely stunning.”

Coleen and Wayne Rooney have four sons together, Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass. The couple tied the knot in 2008 in a ceremony in Santa Margherita Ligure, Italy. They were both 22 at the time after being engaged from the ages of 17 and 18.

Following Coleen’s successful stint in the Australian jungle, it appears the mum-of-four is ready to put herself back in the spotlight after many years focussing on being a mum.

She launched her own line with Applied Nutrition back in January and spoke to the ECHO at the time. She explained the decision to put herself back in the spotlight felt like a natural progression.

She said: “I had a lot of things going on in my life and my kids were only small. Now they are all getting that little bit older and I am ready to get back out there, do some work and media, which I’ve always enjoyed. My family always comes first and that was my main priority.”

The Rooneys will star in a new series on Disney+

It has recently been confirmed that the Rooney family will be the focus of a new series launching on Disney+. The show will follow the lives of Wayne and Coleen and currently has a working title of “The Rooneys”.

Disney says the observational doc-series will feature Coleen and Wayne Rooney like “we’ve never seen them before”, along with their family and friends.

The series will have ten parts and follow Coleen as she ventures into new entrepreneurial endeavours, while Wayne swaps training for the school run. The Disney+ exclusive series will offer unprecedented access that sees the family navigating the highs and lows of everyday family life.

The series was commissioned by Sean Doyle, executive director of Unscripted for Disney+ and is executive produced by Jon Swain, Commissioning Executive, Unscripted for Disney+.

Mr Doyle added: “We’ve seen great success over the past couple of years with our Disney+ Original unscripted series such as “Finding Michael”, “Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story”, “Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story” and more recently, “Flintoff”.

“Our distinctive offering of combining the most talked-about household names and their incredible life experiences has hit the right note with our audiences who are looking for authentic and captivating real-life stories.”
