Christine Lampard delighted fans as she took over the reins of ITV’s Lorraine on Wednesday (9 April), stepping in for the show’s regular face, Lorraine Kelly.
All eyes were on the TV favourite as she dished out the latest celebrity gossip and engaged in heartfelt interviews, notably chatting with former TOWIE star Kate Ferdinand about life in a blended family.
Kate opened up about becoming a stepmum to Rio Ferdinand’s three children. She’s become an advocate for those navigating blended families through her personal experiences and initiative, Blended.
In an intimate moment during the show, Christine spoke about her own life, sharing a rare insight into her family set-up.

“What do your two little ones think about the big ones in your household? Because I know my two little ones, their big sisters walk in, and it’s like god-like female creatures have walked into the house!” Christine told Kate, who was amused by the statement.
Kate went on to mirror Christine’s sentiments, highlighting the adorable admiration her younger children have for their elder siblings: “You know what, it’s exactly the same. They are obsessed with their big brothers and sister. And it’s just the most sweetest bond, it’s just so special.”
Christine is not just a presenter but also a stepmum to football legend Frank Lampard’s daughters from his past relationship. Christine and Frank, the respected Coventry City FC manager, cherish their beautiful young children, Patricia and Frankie, reports Bristol Live.
The couple famously said their vows in 2015 after meeting at the Pride of Britain Awards in 2009.

The TV host has shared some sweet insights into her marriage with football legend Frank on the Loose Women podcast, revealing that they are “best mates.”
“We’re still absolute best mates. He’ll be the first person I’ll pick the phone up to sort anything out with, and the biggest thing for me going back to my love of comedy, is he makes me laugh.
“And that is such a powerful thing to me – I have to be able to have a giggle… We just have proper laughs,” Christine gushed to her friend and co-host Nadia Sawalha.
She also opened up about their harmonious home life, confessing that she and Frank “don’t argue” over parenting or domestic matters as they work together to make “everything flow.”
