Two famous faces have signed up for Celebrity Gogglebox
Channel 4 bosses have confirmed that Hannah Waddingham and Tim Minchin will be making their debut appearance in tonight’s (Friday, July 11) episode, which is the last in the current series.
Tim. multi-award-winning musician, writer and performer, said: “Things I love: cheese, rosé, comfy couches, Hannah Waddingham.
“In combining them, I achieved a life-goal I didn’t know existed. Thank you, Gogglebox.”
Since becoming a global star on Ted Lasso, Hannah has landed roles in a string of Hollywood movies including Lilo & Stitch, The Fall Guy and the latest Mission Impossible flick.
Other stars taking part in the latest series include radio presenter Sara Cox and her pal Clare Hamilton.
The pair love doing the show because it means they get to spend plenty of time together.
Sara previously said: “I love watching and shouting at the telly and I love hanging out and having a laugh with my best mate, so doing Gogglebox with Clare is the dream.”
Clare added: “I am a huge Gogglebox fan, so to be doing this with my best friend of over 30 years is quite literally a goosebump moment for me.”
Love Island presenter Maya Jama has also appeared on the latest series alongside her brother Omar.
Last month, she told fans: She said: “We are so excited to be on Gogglebox. Make sure you tune in and hear us chatting absolute rubbish.”
Her brother Omar added at the time: “Yeah, we’ll be there, will you?”
Maya captioned the clip: “Me an my brother are on gogglebox tonight! Hoping they edited out most of the wild stuff that out of our mouths Loo but how funnn.”
Omar is a star in his own right having followed Maya’s lead and made his way into showbiz by modelling for some huge brands, including Celine, Etro Fashion and Portuguese Soul.
Celebrity Gogglebox first aired in 2019 following the success of Gogglebox.
The star-studded spin-off has seen the likes of Rylan Clark, Davina McCall, Tom Grennan, Roman Kemp, and Laura Whitmore give their takes on the best TV moments of the week.
