Celebrity Big Brother start date confirmed – and it’s just around the corner!

Celebrity Big Brother fans will no doubt be thrilled to learn that there are less than two weeks before the new series launches on ITV1. It has now been confirmed that the programme will return to screens on Monday, April 7.

AJ Odudu and Will Best will both reprise their hosting roles and return for the live launch as the brand new batch of celebrities prepares to take up residence in the famous house in a brand new location.

Like previous series, the latest instalment promises to be one not to be missed, with fans hoping to see many shake ups, tense tasks and nail-biting nominations each week.

ITV relaunched the show and revived the former Channel 4 show in 2023 with a brand new Celebrity series that kicked off last March. It proved to be a huge success for the network.

The much-loved programme certainly pulled in viewers, racking in the highest ratings the show had seen since 2015, with huge hires such as Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Fern Britton, all being firm favourites with fans.

One major change this year, is the Celebrity Big Brother house which has moved to Harlesden, West London. Not much is yet known about the new home, but we do understand that the Mezzanine floor has been scrapped.

The rebooted Big Brother series in 2023 introduced a safe space for housemates to retreat to for gossip and chit-chat away from other housemates.

Speaking about the switch-up, a source revealed to the publication: “ITV moving to a new location means the Big Brother house is getting a full revamp – starting from the top down.

“The house layout is returning to a single story, just like when the show was based at Elstree Studios during its time on Channel 4 and C5. It’s exciting for fans who love the pre-series build up and ITV are going all out especially with the new studio move.”

The same insider continued: “There’ll still be plenty of new spaces for housemates to gossip and work on the house is due to begin imminently ahead of the new series.”

That’s not the only shake-up the series has faced. The programme has also chosen a new screen time for Sunday episodes. Instead of airing at the usual time of 9 pm, they’ll be going live to viewers at 10 p.m.

Despite many shake-ups this season already, fans will once again be able to tune in for the spin-off series Celebrity Big Brother: Late & Live – for an additional hour of exclusive content and gossip from behind the scenes.
