JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes joined Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley on This Morning today, for their first joint interview since leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house, where they formed a very close bond. The pair opened up on their friendship and speculation around it – while JoJo also broke her silence on her split from partner Kath Ebbs at the show’s wrap party.
JoJo confirmed the split and said that she realised something wasn’t right with her relationship days into her stint inside the famous house. She said: “I knew as soon as I got out, I wanted to fix things in my life and make the changes that I needed to make… I think I realised just how not great things were, that I was pretending they were great.”

“I’m very happy with where I am now… I’m very grateful that I had you [Chris] in there for support and for comfort even though you didn’t know what was going on in my brain, you were still obviously, and still obviously are, like support.”
Asked about her friendship with Chris, JoJo said: “Obviously we’re close, obviously we’re tight.” Chris replied: “It’s hard to explain, it’s just a really strong bond between two people which is just a strong friendship… I think you could have, like a soulmate friendship.”
He added: “We are friends and it’s just nice… But having someone in there to go through an experience like that… Probably my favourite thing I got from the whole show.”

Host Ben Shephard then asked JoJo about her friendship with Chris possibly turning into something more romantic. JoJo admitted that things are platonic but hinted things could change in the future. “So it’s platonic right now, but would you like it to be romantic JoJo? He’s a gorgeous boy,” Ben pushed.
JoJo said: “He is a great guy, it is platonic. We have a lot of fun together, life is life and I don’t know any future of anything.” She continued: “But I’m really grateful for our dynamic that we have and our bond that we have and whatever life does, life will do.”

JoJo’s comments come just days after her ex confirmed their split on social media. In an Instagram video, 28 year old Kath revealed they travelled to the UK to support JoJo during the live show and discuss their relationship, reports the Mirror.
“(I) went to the after party with my, I guess now, ex, crazy thing to say, and was dumped in the party,” they shared in a video. Kath says JoJo told them “they had realised in the house that I wasn’t the person that they wanted to spend the foreseeable” future with.
