British actor Leo Woodall stars in the fourth Bridget Jones movie, and also has a string of other TV shows and films that you can watch him in, from The White Lotus to One Day
Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, the fourth instalment in the Bridget Jones series, sees Renee Zellweger reprising her role as the titular character. This time, she’s joined by rising British star Leo Woodall. The 28 year old actor plays Roxster, a gardener who embarks on a romance with Bridget, now a widow and mother of two, after a chance encounter on London’s Hampstead Heath. Despite their age difference – Roxster is in his twenties while Bridget is in her early fifties – the chemistry between them is palpable.
In real life, Leo is 28 and Renee is 55. Leo’s performance, which includes a nod to Colin Firth’s iconic Mr Darcy scene from Pride And Prejudice, has been met with critical acclaim. If you’ve already seen the film and are craving more of Leo, you can catch him in other projects such as The White Lotus and One Day. Here are the TV series he has appeared in:

The White Lotus (Sky TV)
Leo appears in the second season of glossy drama The White Lotus, which is set at a lavish hotel resort in Sicily. He plays Jack, a young man from Essex who is described by British expat Quentin (Tom Hollander) as his ‘naughty nephew.’ Jack befriends personal assistant Portia (Haley Lu Richardson), who is travelling with wealthy entrepreneur Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge), the woman at the heart of the series’ mystery. Since filming finished, Leo confirmed on Instagram that he is dating his co-star from the series, Meghann Fahy.

One Day (Netflix)
Prepare to have your heartstrings tugged with the TV series adaptation of David Nicholls’ moving novel, previously brought to life on the big screen with Anne Hathaway. Leo stars as Dexter, who crosses paths with Ambika Mod’s Emma at a University of Edinburgh graduation ball, reports the Mirror. Spanning 14 years, we track their journey from friendship to complex entanglements with others, including Poldark’s Eleanor Tomlinson as Sylvie and Jonny Weldon’s Ian.
After the show’s launch on Netflix, Leo became so recognised that he had to quit using the tube. Spilling the beans to Elle UK, he shared: “I don’t really get the tube anymore. [A woman] told me her husband gets really jealous. It was just so uncomfortable.”

Prime Target (Apple TV+)
Prepare for a heart-racing adventure with Prime Target, where Leo’s postgraduate maths whizz Edward Brooks is thrown into a web of conspiracy following his mentor’s mysterious death. This edge-of-your-seat thriller dives into prime numbers that could unlock global computer access, but fear not – no Maths GCSE is required. As Edward teams up with government operative Taylah (Quintessa Swindell), they navigate a world rife with peril, dodging bullets and some not-so-incognito villains.

Vampire Academy (Prime Video, to buy)
Leo first graced our screens in a 2019 episode of Holby City, before appearing in the 2022 series Vampire Academy as Adrian Ivashkov. The show, based on the popular novels by Richelle Mead, is set in 1997 and follows the escapades of Rose and Lissa, two students at St Vladimir’s Academy, where Rose is training to be a guardian to her vampire friend. The series only lasted for 10 episodes, with Leo featuring in episodes six and seven.

Citadel (Prime Video)
In American spy action series Citadel, Priyanka Chopra and Bodyguard’s Richard Madden play two Citadel agents who return to work years after their memories have been erased. Leo stars in episodes three and six as Duke, who assisted Madden’s character Mason on a previous mission to disable a Russian submarine.
