Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy stole the show during her mum’s epic NFL halftime performance on Christmas Day. The 12 year old was seen towering over her superstar mum as they performed an elaborate square-dance routine to the closing number, Texas Hold ‘Em. The mother-daughter duo looked stunning in matching white Western gear, studded with rhinestones.

Beyonce, donning chaps and a huge Stetson hat, even gave a shoutout to Blue mid-song by changing the word ‘boy’ to ‘Blue’ in the lyric: “Then spin me in the middle, Blue, I can’t read your mind.” The performance, which included a 15-minute, eight-song medley, had fans going wild, especially when Blue, wearing a Cowboy Carter sash, joined the rest of the dancers for an impressive Do-Si-Do square-dance routine. Despite her young age, Blue is already making a name for herself, having previously danced back-up for Beyonce’s songs My Power and Black Parade during her 56-date Renaissance World Tour last year.

Beyonce opened her set riding a white horse into the stadium while singing 16 Carriages and Blackbird – adorned in white feathers, a white cowboy hat and a sash which read “Cowboy Carter”. She then changed into white glittering chaps in an ode to Texas, performing with a huge ensemble orchestra and dance crew on bleachers before US singer Shaboozey appeared to duet on their track Sweet Honey Buckiin’ from her latest album.

Beyonce told the audience: “I am so honoured to be in Texas right now. It is only right that we do Texas Hold ‘Em for the first time in Texas at Christmas.”

Beyonce, Jay Z and their daughter Blue Ivy made a stunning appearance at The Lion King: Mufasa premiere in Los Angeles earlier this month, with Blue Ivy having a starring role in the movie as the voice of Princess Kiara. Despite being embroiled in a legal battle with attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents a Jane Doe client accusing him of rape in 2000 alongside P Diddy, Jay Z was all smiles as he celebrated his firstborn’s success, reports the Mirror.

The rapper, real name Shawn Carter, was noticeably absent from his wife and daughter’s Christmas Day performance in Houston but has strongly denied the allegations. In a lengthy Instagram post, he said: “My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a “lawyer” named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle.”

“No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!! These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one! ! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? ”

“My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people.”

Attorney Tony Buzbee hit back on X, slamming Jay Z for allegedly attempting to “silence” his clients keen to share their side of the story about the Brooklyn-born rapper. Buzbee strongly refuted Jay Z’s claims that he and his clients are on a mission to “blackball” him, maintaining that the victim “never demanded a penny from him.”
