The One Show host JB Gill delivered a poignant statement just minutes into Thursday’s (March 27) live show.
On tonight’s episode of the popular BBC programme, the JLS star and co-host Alex Jones graced the green sofa to chat about the day’s hottest topics.
In attendance were Hollywood’s Danielle Brooks to discuss the anticipated new Minecraft film and the beloved Johnny Ball, who came to delight fans with tales from his fresh autobiography, My Previous Life in Comedy.
Before they dived into interviews, JB seized a special moment to applaud the Morning Live team for securing their first BAFTA nomination earlier today.

“Now, we have got to say congratulations first off to our sister show Morning Live, who earlier today, were nominated for Best Daytime Show in the TV BAFTAs,” JB declared, reports the Mirror.
“Oh, it is so well deserved. Congratulations!” Alex contributed with genuine excitement.
The highly anticipated list of contenders set to dazzle at this year’s TV BAFTAs was unveiled today, with the charismatic Alan Cumming taking the reins as host for the event, which will take place at the Royal Festival Hall in May.
Morning Live finds itself vying for the Best Daytime Show trophy against strong competitors such as Clive Myrie’s Caribbean Adventure, Loose Women, and Richard Osman’s House of Games.
This Morning astonishingly missed out on a nod in the same category for the second consecutive year, following Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley’s appointment as hosts.

Netflix’s Baby Reindeer leads the race with eight nominations, spanning categories like Lead Actor, Supporting Actress and Limited Drama.
ITV’s highly praised drama Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Disney’s Rivals and Apple TV’s Slow Horses are all in the running with six nominations each.
The BBC is leading the pack among broadcasters, boasting a whopping 49 nominations, while Channel 4 follows with 18 nods, and ITV trails with 14.
Morning Live has already tasted victory, having clinched the Best Factual Series title at the Royal Television Society’s North West Awards in 2023. The show went on to bag three more gongs for Best Factual Series, Best Inclusive Practices and Best Presenter for Gethin Jones in November 2024.
