Joe Sugg has addressed his worries and concerns as Dianne Buswell is set to take part in Strictly Come Dancing after announcing her pregnancy. The couple, who met while partnered on the show, announced the news they were expecting their first child last weekend. Dianne and Joe revealed the exciting news with an adorable video.
A video of the two painting on a canvas was used as a pregnancy announcement on social media. As they turned the canvas around, there were two stickmen holding hands with a smaller stickman. Many messages of congratulations have since been sent to Dianne and Joe, from family, friends and fans.
The joint Instagram post was captioned “Our little baby boy. We cannot wait to meet you” and Elton John’s hit Tiny Dancer was played over the clip of the two painting.
Joe and Dianne recently took to YouTube to speak about their exciting news in more depth. They opened the video by announcing the news for those who haven’t seen the Instagram posts.
Joe said: “We have some news, we’re having a baby. We are having a little baby boy due next year.” They thanked their fans for the lovely messages they have received.
The YouTube star continued: “The amount of lovely messages we’ve had has been super nice so thank you to everybody that has commented.”
However, Dianne soon addressed the “obvious” question. She told viewers: “I’ve seen a lot of people saying ‘surely she can’t do Strictly’.”
But she quickly cleared the air that she is “definitely doing Strictly”, before telling fans the reason why she has decided to take part while pregnant.
The Australian professional dancer said: “What I wanted to achieve here is to actually show that the women’s body is absolutely incredible. I am still doing Strictly, I’m still competing in the competition. You will find out my partner this weekend on the launch show.”
Dianne continued: “Strictly knew a while ago and they’ve been so supportive of my decision and obviously looking after me as well. So I’m very well looked after on Strictly and loved very much.”
Despite Dianne’s confidence, Joe was open about his worries. He shared: “I’ve been like a panicky dad, asking the midwives a hundred questions like ‘Can Dianne do this?’ Can Dianne do that?'” The couple also made it clear that Dianne’s celebrity partner was aware of her pregnancy.
Joe and Dianne closed off the video by saying: “We’re so incredibly excited.” The couple will be keeping fans updated on their journey, with many followers saying they will make great parents.
Taking to the comments on YouTube, one fan said: “Wishing you guys the best of luck, you three deserve all the happiness in the world <3.”
