Anne-Marie reveals her baby’s unique name live on air, with viewers saying ‘it’s different’.

Anne-Marie shared her baby boy's name for the first time

Anne-Marie has shared her baby’s unique name live on This Morning. The singer appeared on the ITV show’s sofa on Tuesday to chat to hosts Ben Shepherd and Cat Deeley, when the show was halted as she revealed her baby boy’s name. The Ciao Adios singer is married to rapper Slowthai and they share two children together.

The 34-year-old music star gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Seven, in February 2024. She recently welcomed their second child into the world in May this year.

Since giving birth, Anne-Marie has remained tight-lipped about the baby boy’s name. However, she exclusively revealed the name on This Morning to Cat and Ben.

She shared: “I haven’t told anyone yet” before asking: “Do you want to know?” Cat was keen to learn the name, after saying she had heard Anne-Marie talking about her new baby on the Capital Breakfast show.

The singer said: “His name is Forever. Forever Sugar.” She explained: “Sugar is his middle name because I had the diabetes thing you get when you’re pregnant. So I thought what a perfect middle name.”

Ben Shepherd said: “There’s a rockstar” while Cat asked where the idea came from. She said: “Where did you come up with the name?” Anne-Marie said: “It’s a weird thing really because my nan used to sign off every card with always and forever. And now my mum does it and my sister does it and I think ‘Forever’ is just a cool name.”

Taking to social media, viewers were divided as some expressed their doubts about the name. One said: “Each to their own but it’s different.” A second asked: “Really?”

Others said they liked the name. One said: “I think it’s a beautiful name” as a second wrote: “I’m here for it.” A third added: “Sounds surreal but I love it!”

The singer has had several hits over the years, including Clean Bandit’s “Rockabye”, featuring Sean Paul, which peaked at number one, as well as “Alarm”, “Ciao Adios”, “Friends” and “2002”.

She has built up a large following over the years, with an impressive 8.6m on Instagram. She regularly updates fans with different aspects of her personal life away from showbiz.

Anne-Marie confirmed the news she had given birth for a second time in May with a social media post. Sharing a mirror selfie, she wrote: “Another beautiful little thing has entered our lives. Hello everyone.” She also added an adorable photo of her holding her newborn baby’s hand.

The post was liked by thousands of fans, and many celebrities also rushed to show their support. Amanda Holden said: “Congratulations” and Emma Willis said: “Congrats beauty” with a red love heart emoji. Stacey Dooley said: “Wjeyyyyy!” and Olly Murs wrote: “Awww huge congratulations.”

Anne-Marie has also had a busy career away from the recording studio. She appeared as a judge on The Voice from 2021 to 2023. She also starred in The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer in 2021.

In the same year, she took part in the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special and took home the glitterball trophy with her partner Graziano Di Prima.
