Channel 4 star Dick Strawbridge is celebrating a special occasion today as he turns 66. His wife Angel Strawbridge sent a special message on social media to mark the occasion and show how much her husband means to her.
Escape to the Chateau’s Dick and Angel Strawbridge got married at small French castle, Chateau de la Motte Husson in 2015. The couple purchased the stunning property the same year they wed. The property served as an excellent backdrop for the wedding photos.
Over the years, the family have continued to keep fans updated with personal insights into their lives. Thousands of fans also followed the couple and their children as they renovated the chateau on Channel 4 show Escape to the Chateau.
The reality television series followed Dick, Angel and their family living in a property that was uninhabitable after not being lived in for 40 years, to now being a spectacular home. Many special occasions have been celebrated on the land.
On Instagram this morning, September 3, Angel Strawbridge posted several pictures of her husband, including family photos. She captioned the post: “Happy Birthday to this incredible human being!
“Thank you for your funny…naughty….cheeky laughs and the wealth of knowledge that you share with many. Today is the one and only day of the year we get to spoil Mr Strawbridge! So we’ll keep this short.”
Followers sent birthday wishes to the former army officer. One comment said: “Happy Birthday, hope you are have a wonderful day, so looking forward to meeting you all at your walled garden event later this month.”
A second response was “Happy birthday Mr Strawbridge, what an amazing human being you are indeed” and another added “Happy birthday Mr Strawbridge. Wishing you all the best.”
Further responses included “Oh, happy birthday bright spark…your gorgeous family will ensure this day is a beauty” and “A very Happy Birthday to you Mr Strawbridge. Enjoy celebrating your special day.”
It has been a week of celebration for the family and they recently headed into a “new era” together. One of the latest milestones celebrated by the family is Dick and Angel’s daughter Dorothy starting her first day of senior school. Dorothy started the new chapter of her life on September 1.
The family posted: “Hello to you on this marvellous Monday. It’s a very special day for our family as we head into a new era.
“Dorothy had her first day of senior school. There was of course the normal nerves.. and as we said our goodbyes it hit home…no matter what age…it really does not get any easier!”
The message added: “We (us parents) both had tears in our eyes.. worried all day…but when we picked up our gorgeous young lady, she was smiling from ear to ear!
Dick and Angel Strawbridge had their two children, son Arthur in 2013 and daughter Dorothy in 2014, before they got married in 2015. The Channel 4 reality stars bought the magnificent property the children grew up in, for £280,000.
