Amanda Holden has sparked a playful debate with her listeners, asking if it’s ‘appropriate’ to bring an unlikely companion along for a bath.
After indulging in a pub lunch, Amanda decided to bathe with one of her pets while taking a soak herself. She shared with her audience: “I looked at Minnie the Moocher and put her in with me, because I need to wash her anyway because she’s covered in sand.”
Detailing the eventful bath time, she said: “So, I took her collar off and we had a little bath together. I used all her doggy shampoos, there was no products in the bath, so please don’t write in.”

Amanda went on to describe how Mini revelled in the experience: “Mini was loving it, she was living her best life, and then I had the dog conditioner and I got a brush and I started brushing her, because she’s got a little (bit) matted underneath her armpits, so I gave her a good brush, a good clean.”
Following the anecdote, co-host Jamie Theakston invited the public to weigh in, questioning: “Is it ever okay or is it a problem to bathe with your pets?” With a chuckle, Amanda concluded: “I don’t want complaints.”
Amanda was overcome with emotion during the Britain’s Got Talent auditions last weekend when an 11-year-old guitarist caught her off guard. She was blown away by his performances of Van Halen’s Jump and Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now, prompting her to hit the golden buzzer and exclaim: “Oh my god.”
As a long-time judge on the ITV show, which she has been a part of since its debut in 2007, Amanda has had a successful career in television. Prior to her BGT days, she appeared in shows such as Wild At Heart and We Know Where You Live. She has also ventured into presenting, filling in as a guest host on Lorraine and This Morning, and currently co-hosts Heart Breakfast.
Speaking about her decision to join Heart Radio back in 2019, Amanda told Global: “Having listened for years I’m excited to be part of the Heart team and working on what will now be the UK’s biggest commercial morning radio show! I’m not sure my face is ready for the early starts mind you, but I’m looking forward to waking you all up!”
