Alison Hammond shares a rare update on her relationship, admitting something about her marriage and age gap romance.

Alison Hammond has issued a rare update on her love life. The This Morning presenter went public with her boyfriend David Putnam last year with a series of posts on Instagram.

However, she largely keeps her love life out of the limelight. The 50-year-old is 22 years older than David, who is a Russian masseur and model.

Alison has opened up about their age gap relationship and heaped praise on how supportive David is of her career. She told Heat magazine: “He loves it.

“He just supports me. Anybody who I bring into my life supports me and whatever I do. They’re so happy for me. I don’t like to go into detail about him, because it’s my private life, and I want to respect his life as well.

“But you know I’m loved-up, everyone knows that!” Alison admitted she wouldn’t rule out marriage with her new partner. She said :””I’d never say no.

“I might marry myself…” Alison spoke to the outlet ahead of hosting her new BBC series, ‘Alison Hammond’s Big Weekend’, where she accompanies some of the most famous names in the UK for 48 hours.

Alison explained enjoyed getting to see a “different side” to the likes of comedian Jimmy Carr, actor Luke Evans and former Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards.

When asked what it was like to spend a weekend with all these celebrities, Alison said: “You really get to see a different side to all of them. You get to see stuff that you would never see, like them arguing with their mum or bantering with their kids or partner.

“And you get to see what their passions are and what they love doing. Me and Jimmy Carr went for an ice bath together. And Luke Evans is really into horse riding.

“I learned how to horse ride – I’ve never ridden a horse in my life. I started off on a mechanical horse and it’s the most comical scene you’ll ever see. I should have put a sports bra on!”

Alison’s new series gets underway on BBC One on Friday, May 16. The six part show has been filmed across the UK and the presenter can’t wait for viewers to see the finished product.

She said: “I’m so excited to serve up some big lols and tons of OMG revelations on the BBC as I spend some quality time with some of the UK’s favourite celebrities. When I’m on a mission no secret is safe, and trust me no stone or cupboard will go unturned!”

Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC says: “Alison is one of the most warm-hearted presenters in the UK and it’s no surprise that big name celebrities are lining up to have her spend the weekend at their homes. It’s going to be a blast!”

Mel Balac, Creative Director for Entertainment at BBC Studios says: “Alison is the perfect woman for the job. She wears her heart on her sleeve and her incredible openness, energy and warmth will shed new light on the celebrities she spends the weekend with. When Alison comes knocking it’s a special appointment you won’t want to miss!”
