The One Show is taking a temporary hiatus from BBC schedules due to a major TV reshuffle, leaving fans waiting for its return.
Presenters Alex Jones and Roman Kemp are stepping back from the show, which typically broadcasts on BBC One from Monday to Friday at 7pm, to make way for Wimbledon.
The prestigious tennis event will dominate the main BBC channels starting Monday, June 30, for a fortnight.
Wimbledon coverage will alternate between BBC One and BBC Two, with evening broadcasts on the primary channel at 7pm, usurping The One Show’s regular slot.

The One Show’s Alex concluded last Friday’s episode by announcing: “We are taking a bit of a break for the next four weeks and we’ll be back on Monday, 28th July but there’s plenty to enjoy like Wimbledon and the Euros,” reports Wales Online.
In the meantime, EastEnders will shift to BBC Two on June 30 and July 1, featuring consecutive episodes at 7pm and 7.30pm.
Daytime TV is also experiencing changes, with Escape To The Country being removed from its usual 3pm weekday spot on BBC One to accommodate tennis coverage.
On Wednesday, July 2, Wimbledon’s evening coverage will move to BBC Two, while BBC One airs Match of the Day for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 Group A match between Switzerland and Norway.
This schedule overhaul follows closely behind another announcement made on The One Show.
During the June 25 broadcast, Alex and Clara Amfo, alongside Matt Allwright and Nikki Fox, marked the 40th anniversary of Watchdog.

To celebrate the incredible milestone, Matt and Nikki took a moment during the show to pay homage to Watchdog, reminiscing over recent victories ranging from undercover scoops to massive business policy shifts and even hefty customer refunds.
Wrapping up the programme, Matt expressed his gratitude with these heartfelt words: “Happy birthday Watchdog and everybody who has worked on the show, amazing people. Thank you to everyone who has contacted us over the last 40 years because without you it would not mean a thing.”
Nikki then chimed in, highlighting the importance of viewer involvement: “We can not do it without your stories.”
She then revealed an upcoming hiatus for the series, stating: “Watch Dog is going to be taking a break over summer and we are back in September so please keep them coming.”
