Abbey Clancy has revealed she wouldn’t trust husband Peter Crouch “as far as she could throw him” in a shocking marriage confession. The model has been with the former England striker for nearly two decades.

Abbey and Peter pair tied the knot in 2011, five years after they began dating, and are now parents to four children. They frequently share the ups and downs of married life on their podcast, The Therapy Crouch.

During a recent episode, a listener contacted them explaining that all her friends were now in relationships, leaving her with nobody to socialise with, reports the Mirror. This led the woman to ask whether they would attend a singles event together.

Whilst former Liverpool striker Peter, 44, empathised with the woman, he reckons they should simply arrange a standard “girls night”. He commented: “I get she wants to go out with the girls, that’s fine, go to a pub, go to a restaurant, you can’t go to a singles night.”

Abbey questioned “what’s the difference” between attending a singles event and a typical evening out. Peter responded: “If I said to you, my mate is single and he’s not got a girlfriend, so I’m just going to go to this singles night tonight to help him out, how would you feel?”

Abbey replied: “I’d be like grow up. If you’re confident enough in your relationship and secure in your relationship then your head won’t be turned.”

Husband Peter hit back claiming Abbey “isn’t confident enough in their relationship” if she wouldn’t allow him to attend. She replied: “I’m not, I’m absolutely not, I wouldn’t trust you as far as I could throw you. You’re under lock and key, mister. I would help my friend out, maybe not a singles night then.”

Peter and Abbey first crossed paths in Liverpool in 2005. Reflecting on their initial encounter during a Good Morning Britain appearance, Abbey revealed: “When we first met, he begged me for my number and then I went to the loo or the bar, and when I came back, he was talking to another girl. I was like, ‘How dare you?’”

Peter subsequently insisted he was “just talking” to the other woman, but Abbey demanded her number back. He continued: “I said, ‘You can’t give someone your number and then take it back’.”

Despite the rocky start, their romance flourished and the pair exchanged vows on June 30, 2011. According to OK!, the family reside in a “magical” Surrey mansion featuring its own cinema room and expansive garden.

The impressive property frequently appears across Abbey’s social media accounts. Followers have caught sight of Peter at work behind his substantial wooden desk, adorned with football trophies, alongside moments enjoying the home’s outdoor swimming pool and timber play zone.

They reportedly relocated to the spectacular residence in 2016.
