Abbey Clancy jokes “I’m married to Peter Sutcliffe” while making a harsh joke about Peter Crouch.

Abbey Clancy joked “it’s like being married to Peter Sutcliffe” as she aimed a brutal dig at husband Peter Crouch.

Abbey, 39, and 44-year-old Peter regularly share an insight into their married life on The Therapy Crouch, their podcast together. The couple don’t hold back as topics range from their sex lives to their hobbies.

In a recent episode, they addressed a listener’s dilemma about maintaining privacy for intimacy with grown-up children at home. Abbey humorously suggested the parents could tell their kids to “get out” or perhaps get themselves a “sh** pad”.

She remarked: “I’d just say to them, get out. Or the mum and dad move out because they clearly have a big house. They could buy themselves a little apartment, a little sh** pad, leave all of the kids and chaos at home.”

Peter chimed in with his own cheeky idea: “They’d still own it, say, ‘If you lot want to live together, you crack on, we’ve built this for you’. One bedroom, with a sex dungeon in it. Swing, the whole lot, masks, dressing up.”

Caught off guard by Peter’s response, Abbey quipped: “It’s like being married to bloody Peter Sutcliffe”.

Sutcliffe, infamously known as the Yorkshire Ripper, was responsible for the murder of 13 women and attempted murder of seven others between 1975 and 1980, with psychologist Dr David Holmes labelling him “sexually sadistic”.

Abbey also expressed empathy towards the listener’s situation, sharing: “I know how they feel because I feel like that with my own children and they’re little.

“It does take its toll on a relationship if you can’t. Our house is never empty.”

Former England star Peter has described the challenges of finding privacy at home, saying it’s “constantly dangerous” to try and be intimate because “If you ever want to do that stuff, then there’s always someone lurking.”

Peter also mentioned his plans for family dynamics, stating that he intends to have his children move out when they’re in their twenties. He and his wife Abbey, who are parents to four young children, first crossed paths in a bar after Peter’s transfer to Liverpool in 2006.

Despite his initial doubts about Abbey’s interest in him, the couple quickly connected and she ended up giving him her number. Recounting the story to Chris Moyles, Peter shared: “She gave me her number – amazingly – she went away and I just carried on with my evening, and I should have known then, but I was talking to someone else who was also female.

“She came over and said ‘Look at you! Who do you think you are?’ as if we were married already. She went mental! And I was like ‘I’m only talking’. I should have known then!”.
