A Strictly Come Dancing star has warned about a routine that could be seriously dangerous.

Chris Dennis (La Voix) and Aljaž Škorjanec issued a warning ahead of their routine

Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Aljaž Škorjanec has shared he is “genuinely worried” about an upcoming routine. The 35-year-old is partnered with RuPaul’s Drag Race star La Voix on the current series of the popular BBC dancing programme. The couple impressed the judges last week with their waltz to Feed The Birds from Mary Poppins.

They scored 28, finishing joint 6th on the leader board with Jimmy Floyd Hasslebaink and his partner Lauren Oakley. The results show on Sunday night saw Scottish presenter Ross King and professional dancer Jowita Przystal eliminated from the show.

They saw their time on the show come to an end following a dance-off against actress Balvinder Sopal and her partner Julian Caillon. Both couples performed their routines from Saturday night for a second time.

Ross and Jowita danced the paso doble to the theme from Thunderbirds Are Go, while Sopal and Caillon danced a foxtrot to The Way You Look Tonight from the movie Swing Time. However, the judges ultimately voted in favour of Balvinder as she reached week four of the live shows.

Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke chose to save the EastEnders actress and her professional partner. While head judge Shirley Ballas wasn’t needed for a vote, she said she would have chosen the same outcome.

After saying goodbye to Ross, the other celebrities are back in the rehearsal room ready to perfect another routine ahead of Saturday’s show.

La Voix and Aljaz are among the 13 couples who will be taking to the dancefloor on Saturday. They will be performing a cha cha cha to 80s classic Hit Me With Your Best Shot.

They recently appeared on BBC Two’s Strictly: It Takes Two to discuss their upcoming routine. Chris Dennis (La Voix) warned Strictly fans the routine could be dangerous.

Chris shared: “This could be dangerous because there are moves in this choreography, if they go wrong, one of us could be knocked out.”

He joked: “We’re taking ‘Hit Me With Your Best Shot’ within the choreography.” Speaking of the jam-packed routine, Aljaz expressed his concerns about the intense and possibly-dangerous dance.

He shared with host Fleur East: “I’m genuinely worried, the dance and the story of the dance is very intense. If you do one move too soon, or one move too late, it can be seriously dangerous.”

He added: “I’m shaking actually.” Fleur said: “So there’s a lot of jeopardy in this.” But Strictly fans will have to wait until Saturday to see what’s in store for La Voix and Aljaz.

Chris said: “We’re going to unleash glamour and fabulousness 80s style this week.” They joked: “Maybe Tess and Claudia will need to up their game this week because La Voix is going to really knock it out the park.”
