A Place in the Sun’s Jasmine Harman has shared an exciting update as she is set to star in a new show on Channel 4. The 49-year-old TV host first joined the popular property programme in 2004 and has since appeared in over 200 episodes. Away from the screen, Jasmine is married to Jon Boast and the couple tied the knot in 2009.
They met on the set of A Place in the Sun, as Jon was the director of photography. Jon and Jasmine share a son called Albion and a daughter, Joy.
Jasmine’s house-hunting skills proved to come in handy when she was looking for a home in Spain for her family. In 2023, she made her dream move away from London to sunny Estepona on Spain’s Costa del Sol.
Jasmine regularly updates on her life away from the cameras much to the delight of her 227,000 followers on Instagram. From adorable selfies with her husband, to stunning sunset photos she has taken, Jasmine’s profile is filled with different insights into her day-to-day life.
In a recent post, Jasmine shared a photo of herself on the set of ITV daytime show Loose Women. She appeared on the show to talk about her new series, Jasmine’s Renovation In The Sun.
She accompanied the post with the caption: “Thank you so much for having me on today @loosewomen. Can you believe @aplaceinthesunofficial is 25 years old and our latest series started yesterday!!
“As I said to the ladies, it’s more than just a TV show it’s changed the lives of so many people for the better. It’s changed my life; it’s given me my career, my family and my new home in Spain – which you can see very soon on Jasmine’s Renovation in the Sun.”I am so excited for you all to see it and join us on our journey! If you missed @LooseWomen you can catch up on my chat with the ladies on @itvxofficial.”
Jasmine’s new show will air in November this year, as she shared the move abroad was “much harder” than she initially thought. The programme will document exactly how Jasmine and her family purchased a rundown Spanish villa and made it their dream home.
Speaking on Loose Women about finally taking the plunge and moving abroad, she shared: “It was a long time coming, and it came about because I was having to go away for work so frequently and leave my children and my family back at home in the UK.”

She added: “My husband wanted to live by the sea. So I said ‘if we want to move to the coast, let’s move to the Mediterranean coast!’.”
Despite experiencing several challenges throughout the renovation project, Jasmine said: “For our family it was the best thing to do and I’ve got no regrets.”
The series will give an insight into the work that goes into making the family’s dream come true as they juggle the demands of a renovation, busy jobs, young kids, making friends, and building a life for themselves in Spain.
Speaking to Channel 4 about the show, Jasmine Harman said: “Moving abroad has been completely different to what I expected and dreamed of. I never wanted to take on a renovation project but somehow, we fell in love with this house. I’ve seen it so many times with my own house hunters – sometimes it just feels right.”
She added: “Moving house can be stressful at the best of times. But, changing country renovating a property, raising our family – all the while having a TV crew following you around, is next level! All the same, we feel like this is the best move for our family and we’re so excited to get started.”
Michelle Heeley from production company, Freeform Productions, said: “Like so many of our House Hunters over the years who have made the move, Jasmine is now doing this for herself. Being able to follow her journey and the highs and lows along the way will be an entertaining watch.”
