A Place in the Sun’s Jasmine Harman took to social media to share a special message for her husband. The 49-year-old is renowned for her role as a regular presenter on the Channel 4 show.
The TV presenter first joined the property show in 2004 and has since appeared in over 200 episodes. Away from the screen, Jasmine is married to Jon Boast and the couple tied the knot in 2009. They met on set of A Place in the Sun, as Jon was the director of photography.
In a recent post on Instagram, Jasmine shared a selfie of the two of them as she wished her husband a happy birthday. However, fans were taken aback when they realised she had used a filter to make them both look older.
She wrote: “Happy Birthday Boasty! Imagine, in a few years from now we won’t need a filter to make us look this old!! But you’ll always be my toy boy!!
“Sad you are working today but we can celebrate tomorrow! Love you so much, you are the best husband and daddy your family could ever dream of. Miss you xxx”Ps. These filters are a bit too convincing don’t you think!?!? Pps. Swipe to see the original photo with no filter!”
Fans rushed to the comments to show their support, yet most of the reactions came from the initial shock of how old they look in the photo.
One follower said: “I had to double look.. I actually thought wow she ages quick.” Another wrote: “Gosh I got a shock- phew.”
A third said: “For one moment, I thought the stress of the renovations had really taken its toll.” A fourth added: “Ha ha that’s hilarious I thought it was your dad for a moment there.”
Jasmine’s A Place in the Sun co-star Ben Hillman joked: “Jeez I had no idea what was going on there for a moment. Get that factor 50 on.”
The couple recently celebrated their sixteenth wedding anniversary. Jasmine wrote a poem dedicated to her husband which she shared on social media.
It said: “You’re my sun. You’re my moon. You’re all the stars in the sky to me. You’re my rock. You’re the air that I breathe. You’re everything I’ll ever need. You are my world. Happy 16th Wedding Anniversary.”
Speaking to the Express in 2021, Jasmine said: “I met my husband Jon on my first A Place In The Sun. We did a pilot in South Africa, but when I filmed my first show for the series in Portugal, he was the cameraman.
“I wouldn’t actually say it was love at first sight, it was more of a slow burn. We met, became great friends and then we fell in love. Now we’ve got two children and a dog.”
Jon and Jasmine share a son called Albion and a daughter, Joy. Jasmine regularly updates her fans of her life away from the screen to her 223,000 followers on Instagram.
