Gogglebox star Helena Worthington has announced the birth of her daughter. The fan favourite became part of the Channel 4 series in 2017 during its tenth run, appearing alongside her mum Alison and Alison’s partner George.

The Manchester-based family has continued to entertain audiences with their witty observations and amusing commentary on television’s biggest moments. Away from screens, Helena enjoys a relationship with her partner Dan and is the mum to six year old Irwin, as well as her newborn.

The proud mum shared a picture to Instagram yesterday, holding her daughter, she said: “Swapping screen time for snuggles (and plenty of nappy changes) as we welcome our little one to the world. I’ll be quieter on here for a bit while we find our feet. The new boss is here and has already called all the shots.”

Helena has been sent messages of congratulations from fans of the Channel 4 show. One comment said: “Aww a little girl. Congratulations to you Helena and your family.” Another comment said: “Awww massive congratulations, you’re both looking so well. Enjoy all the cuddles.”

Other comments included: “Well done lovely! What a gorgeous family you have” and “Oh my goodness she is a little cherub. Well done.” The post was liked by over 12,000 people, including Gogglebox favourites Jenny and Lee and Simon and Jane.

The arrival of Helena’s daughter comes after the family faced heartache towards the end of 2025. On Monday December 16, she shared a touching photograph with her mum and nan, accompanied by a heartfelt message.

She said “I’m not quite sure how to write this post. This week I reached 20k on here, which feels huge and something I’m incredibly grateful for. But it’s also been a really rough week.

“I lost my legendary nana, and because of that I won’t be filming the last episode of Gogglebox this series. My nana played such a huge part in my life and loved me fiercely.

“She was the perfect mix of Dame Judi Dench and the Catherine Tate nana – sharp, hilarious, and she somehow knew the answers to every quiz show question.

“She once flashed a vicar and stole the neighbour’s dog when they wouldn’t give my mum’s football back – which honestly tells you everything you need to know about her. She was a true Queen.”

Helena added: “I’m expecting a baby girl in the next month, and my heart aches knowing my nana won’t get to meet her. But I know she’ll be part of her in so many ways.”
