A BBC Strictly star sends a “congratulations” message to Dianne Buswell and Vito Coppola.

Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Nancy Xu has supported her BBC colleagues Dianne Buswell and Vito Coppola during their ongoing dance tour together. The dynamic new dance show is called ‘Red Hot and Ready’, and builds on the performance legacy from ‘Burn the Floor’, which is a high-energy theatrical dance show that reimagines ballroom and Latin dance styles.

In the past two decades Burn the Floor has revolutionised Ballroom style by combining jaw-dropping choreography and ground breaking moves. Dances that Dianne and Vito are performing together includes a futuristic Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango and Paso Doble.

Red Hot and Ready kicked off earlier this month and Dianne and Vito have received support from fans. On Sunday, the Strictly dancers performed at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London’s West End. Among those in attendance was Nancy Xu.

Nancy Xu joined Strictly Come Dancing as a professional dancer in 2019, In 2021, she took to the Strictly dance floor with her first ever celebrity partner CBBC presenter Rhys Stephenson.

The pair made it all the way to the Semi-Final, and in 2022, she narrowly missed out on the final with actor Will Mellor, as they were the 11th couple to leave the show. In 2023 she partnered with Les Dennis, but unfortunately they bowed out in the second week.

In the latest series of the BBC dance show, Nancy was partnered with Shayne Ward. They were the seventh couple to be eliminated. Sharing a video of the production in action to Instagram stories yesterday, Nancy said: “What a show. Keep smashing it, I’m so, so, so, so, proud of both of you and my heart is filled with all the happiness.”

She added: “Keep shining my angels. Congratulations for all the cast.” Dianne’s boyfriend Joe Sugg also shared his support as he simply wrote “superstars” after sharing a picture of Dianne and Vito from the audience.

Strictly’s Michelle Tsiakkas commented: “Wow! What an incredible show. So proud of you my beautiful friends @VitoCoppola @DianneBuswell. Another masterpiece by @Jasongilkison brought to life by this incredible cast of talented dancers.”

Dianne triumphed on Strictly Come Dancing when she was partnered with Scouse comedian Chris McCausland. Chris became the first ever blind contestant to lift the glitterball trophy and the nation fell in love with the pairing.

They have since gone on to launch their own podcast together called ‘Winning Isn’t Everything’. In a recent episode, Chris asked his dancing partner how she is doing while on the road with Vito.

Dianne admitted: “I’ve been struggling, I’ve had a struggle struggle week.” She explained she has been feeling unwell: “I did have a moment, I’ve cried and everything.”

Chris and Dianne recently took home the BAFTA TV award for the most Memorable Moment of the year. Their emotional performance of a waltz to ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ had fans in tears during the 2024 series.

Dianne was present to receive the award on behalf of her and the Scouse comedian. Speaking to viewers and the audience, the Australian dancer highlighted the significance of the dance, she said: “In one minute and 30 seconds of a dance, I feel like this told such a story.

“A story of hope, determination, resilience and vulnerability. This moment meant so much to the both of us, so I’m just so thrilled that we have this.”
