Hollywood star Nicole Kidman and her country singer husband, Keith Urban, have reportedly separated after 19 years of marriage.

According to TMZ, the couple have been living apart “since the beginning of summer”. A source told the publication that Keith has “acquired his own residence in Nashville and moved out of their family home”.

They also claimed that Oscar-winner Nicole, 58, has been taking care of their two children and been “holding the family together through this difficult time” since Keith, 57, moved out. It’s alleged that Nicole has been trying to save their marriage.

The couple married in June 2006 and share daughters Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14. OK! has contacted Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s representatives for comment.

The pair married in 2006 after meeting the year before at the G’Day USA Gala. Nicole later told Ellen DeGeneres in 2017: “I had such a crush on him, and he wasn’t interested in me. It’s true! He didn’t call me for four months.”

However, Keith gushed in an interview with CBS News in 2016: “Meeting her and getting married wasn’t life-changing, it was life-beginning.”

Shortly after marrying at St. Patrick’s Estate in Sydney, Australia, Keith checked into the Betty Ford Center to seek help for alcohol addiction.

He told Rolling Stone in 2014 that he was “very, very blessed” to have Nicole stage an intervention for him. He left rehab after three months and the couple moved to Nashville.

They welcomed their first daughter, Sunday Rose, in 2008 and welcomed their second daughter, Faith, two years later via gestational surrogacy.

Before meeting Keith, Nicole was married to fellow actor Tom Cruise from 1990 until 2001. The couple adopted daughter Bella in 1993 and son Connor a few years later.

In recent months, Nicole has been based in London while filming a sequel to Practical Magic, while Keith has been on his High and Alive tour across the US and Canada, scheduled to run until October.

In September 2024, Nicole told E! News that “there’s no perfect anything” when asked about her marriage in the context of her Netflix drama The Perfect Couple. She said: “Anything that’s presented as perfect… forget it.”

Speaking to People magazine earlier in 2024, Nicole reflected on her relationship with Keith: “I’m so lucky that I have Keith who’s just my love, my deep, deep love. I’m so lucky that I have Keith… that gives me the ability to go and do whatever I have to do because I know where I can come back.”
