
Lilly Gerrard has wished her boyfriend’s mum a happy birthday. Lilly, who is the eldest daughter of Liverpool Football Club legend Steven Gerrard, is in a relationship with Lee Byrne and the two have a daughter together.
Lilly and Lee are the parents to Lila Grey, they introduced her to the world in July. The proud parents shared the news on social media with a picture of Lee holding a baby carrier, she tagged Lee and said “2 becomes 3”, the couple have been in a relationship since 2022, they shared a series of photos from a trip to Ibiza to make it official.
Gerrard’s daughter grew up in Merseyside but has spent a lot of time away from the UK in the past couple of years due to her dad’s management commitments with Al-Ettifaq FC, a team he departed from in January. However, since the family returned to the UK, she spends most of her time in Liverpool.

On Instagram Stories this morning, September 25, Lilly posted a collage of family photos and all featured Lee’s mum Simoan. She wrote: “Happy Birthday Simoan. Hope your day is as special as you are to us.
“Thank you for being the best nanny Simo to our little Lila. Love from all of us.” While Lee has a private social media account, Lilly has shared plenty of insights into their relationship together.
She took to Instagram to mark the New Year in 2024 to hail her partner as she shared a snap of the two together. She posted a heartfelt tribute as she said: “Best friend. Happy new year.”
Lilly also shared updates with Lee as the couple enjoyed Taylor’s Swift’s concert at Anfield last summer. She said: “Taylor time. Best time with the best people.”

Lee celebrated his birthday last month, Lilly shared a heartfelt message to mark the special occasion. She said: “Happy birthday to my Lee. Hope your day is as special as you are to me. Thank you for everything and being the best dad to our little girl. Love you.”
While navigating life as new parents, the mum and dad have still managed to find time together to enjoy themselves. Around the time of Lee’s birthday, they went to Drake’s concert at the Co-Op Live arena in Manchester.
Lila-grey has proud grandparents from both sides of the family, Former Reds midfielder Gerrard, was the first to comment after his daughter revealed her exciting baby news earlier this year as he said: “We can’t wait. Great news and congratulations we love you.”
Mum Alex, took to the comments and said: “Can’t wait.” Lilly’s sister, Lexie, also took to the comments as she posted on the social media platform: “Can’t wait to be an auntie.”
The retired midfielder has since taken to life as a grandad as he shared a snap cradling Lila with his 11.7m followers. He captioned the post: “Grandad duty.”
