Olly’s family news comes after he thrilled crowds across the nation with his 15 Years of Hits tour. Thousands of members of the Murs Army packed into the M&S Bank Arena during a show in May.
Olly vowed his new tour is going to usher in a “new Murs era” as he treated the audience to an exclusive performance of new single, Save Me.
Fans were thrilled at the M&S Bank Arena across the two hour show. The strongest performance of the night came when the mood shifted to a more sombre tone as Olly sung Dear Darling, a song he dedicated to his X Factor co-host, Caroline Flack, who died in 2020. He told the crowd: “I genuinely think about her every day.
“I know that feeling of losing someone that you love very much. With this song, I want you to think of those people and sing with me.” Olly also suffered with illness during the tour as he was forced to end a show in Glasgow early.
He was forced to abandon his set after six songs when he walked off stage. He took to Instagram to apologise to fans as he explained he experienced problems with his voice. Speaking to his followers, he said: “Glasgow, I am so sorry tonight.
“So sorry that I had to walk off after six songs and cancel the show. I have never done this in 15 years. Most of the time, as singers, you can kind of get through it if your voice isn’t 100 percent but I walked out tonight thinking my voice was great.
“I maybe felt a little bit rundown but I didn’t think I couldn’t do the show because I wouldn’t have come out there otherwise. So, to walk off after six songs, I am so sorry. 15 years I have never done this.
“As you can hear from my voice, I was sounding rubbish and it is unfair for you guys to spent all that money to come and see me. You deserve the best show and me being at my best. I am so sorry from the bottom of my heart.”
