Former Strictly Come Dancing star Abbey Clancy, who hosts a podcast with her husband Peter Crouch, threatened to walk out during a recording after being teased for questioning why a fly is named a bluebottle, stating it “doesn’t suit” the insect.
The light-hearted conversation escalated when Abbey, 39, warned Peter, 44, and their fellow co-host Ross that she wouldn’t tolerate their mockery. This came after Peter ribbed her for raising such a trivial topic on a “global podcast”, while Ross implied their listeners might “feel sorry for Pete”.
The situation intensified as Peter and Ross continued to chuckle, much to Abbey’s annoyance, leading her to accuse them of ganging up on her.
She said: “Shut your mouth! Do you know, I am actually going to leave? I am actually going to leave this. No-one’s got a sense of humour on this podcast. Anything I say gets taken out of context, I’m constantly getting bullied.”
Despite Peter’s reassurances that she “wasn’t getting bullied at all”, Abbey retorted: “Honestly Pete, I swear to god, my love for you is fading, drastically.”

This incident comes months after several discussions between Peter and Abbey about their relationship.
The couple has been together for nearly two decades, dating back to when Abbey was working as a waitress.
During a candid conversation on their podcast, Abbey opened up about the challenges of working with her husband Peter when they’ve had a disagreement.
She said: “When Pete and I have a row, and we have to do this pod because it comes out weekly, we have to do it and we’re literally not talking to each other – it’s really difficult.”

Peter also confessed that hosting the podcast can be tricky after an argument. He explained: “We had an argument before the podcast this morning, and it is difficult to navigate.”
The couple also discussed how pursuing individual interests helps maintain a healthy relationship. Peter has taken up golfing, while Abbey enjoys horse riding.
In a previous episode, Peter spoke positively about having separate hobbies. He commented: “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. Like, not every day, because we need to do stuff together as well. But I think some part of the week, I think that’s a totally healthy relationship.”
Abbey agreed, she added: “It is, because I’ve never been happier.”
Fans of Peter Crouch can catch him on Michael McIntyre’s Big Show tonight (August 23rd) on BBC One at 6.50pm.
