Strictly Come Dancing’s Nadiya Bychkova has shared a selfie from hospital after suffering a fall during rehearsals yesterday. The professional dancers have already kickstarted their training for the group dances for the upcoming series, while the celebrity contestants are starting to be announced this week.
The Ukrainian professional dancer first appeared on Strictly on the 15th series of the dancing show in 2017. She was partnered with EastEnders actor Davood Ghadami. In the latest series of the competition, she was the first couple to be eliminated as she paired up with Olympic swimmer Tom Dean.
On Tuesday, Nadiya was taken to hospital in an ambulance after injuring herself in the training room. An ambulance was called and she was stretchered out.

Nadiya has since updated fans as she shared a selfie from the hospital. The professional dancer said: “Well… where do I start? What a 24 hours!
“Thank you so much for all the messages, love and support. I just wanted you to know that I am ok. I had a fall in training yesterday and landed on my back. I was really worried for a while and I was so thankful to the Strictly family and medical team who really looked after me.
“The staff at the hospital were so kind and caring. I’m smiling in the picture but it was really scary and there were a few tears as I had to lie still for hours but I was given the all-clear after an x-ray and allowed to go home.”I’ve got some physio today but I will be back on that dance floor soon and I’ll be ready to shine and sparkle in the new series of the biggest show on TV. I can’t wait for you to see it. Keep dancing!”
Nadiya’s Strictly Come Dancing co-stars rushed to the comments to send their love for the professional, with the start of the series just weeks away.
Gorka Marquez said: “Sending love” and his partner Gemma Atkinson said: “Get well soon.” Zoe Ball also wrote: “Sending healing love.” Dan Walker, who was partnered with Nadiya on the BBC show in 2021, said: “Glad to hear you’re ok partner.”
Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse wrote: “My heart dropped when I heard! So grateful you’re okay. Take all the time you need. We need you shining and sparkling on that floor soon! Sending you all my love.”
Other Strictly fans were also keen to show their support. One fan called Mark said: “Take it easy, so glad you’ve been given the all clear. Get well soon.” Another named Sophie wrote: “Sending so much love. Back injuries are so scary! It’ll be great to see you on stage again.”
Claudia Winkleman will return as co-host for the 2025 series alongside Tess Daly. Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, and Motsi Mabuse will be dusting off their numbers as part of the iconic judging panel.
